Titre: Molten rain vs Pillage in modern
Posté par: burn your face le Juin 21, 2019, 11:10:42 pm
I am wondering what people think about pillage (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Pillage) vs molten rain (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Molten+Rain) in the sideboards of fair decks in modern.

Please post any opinions

As someone who knows nothing about modern, I would run pillage (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Pillage) as it is more versatile, but from my understanding, artifacts arent too prevalent in modern. I mean there is no guarantee you will see one each game. Either there are 10 Rtifacts or there are 0. And apparently two damage is a lot in modern, while also destroying their best land. Just think if you kill a shock (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Shock) land, that's 4 damage.

I would think stone rain (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Stone+Rain) is better for modern, though is land destruction viable? I feel like 3 mana is too slow for that. Maybe if you go first, it would be useful.

It's very good with what you are doing right now.
