Title: [Test] Find decks with cards from your collection

Not everybody wants to buy 60 new cards every time they build a new deck. So a common question has been how to find decks with cards that are already in Your Collection (https://deckstats.net/collection/). As a first step towards this, I added a Collection Overlap column to our deck lists a few months ago, which tells you which of the cards in the deck are also in your collection.

So until now, the best way to find a deck has been to use our Deck Search (https://deckstats.net/decks/search/) to search for decks containing a few specific cards and then use this collection overlap column to check how many additional cards you would need to buy. However, this is of course not very convenient and can take a long time.

So to make this a lot easier, I have been working on a tool that takes your entire collection, automatically overlaps it with all decks in our database and returns a list of the best matches. This is quite a complicated task, so the tool is unfortunately not ready for public use yet. However, if you’re interested in helping me test this tool, please post your request here and I will tell you the 5 best-matching decks for your collection!

To make a request, please answer these questions:

- Which tournament format are you interested in? (e.g. Standard, Modern, ... - can only be a single format for now)
- Which colors should the deck have?
- What is the maximum price of the deck?
- What is the minimum number of likes the deck should have? I have found it useful to require at least 1 like to make sure I don't get too many experimental decks that are not actually playable.

I will then look through all public decks posted in the last year that match your criteria (and also contain at least 60 cards, to make sure they are tournament legal), compare each of them to your collection and tell you the five decks that match best.

The only thing I ask for in return is that you provide some feedback on whether or not this list was useful to you and what you would like to have changed! :)

Very cool, I'm not at all surprised to see a lot of vampires. Thank you Nils!  If this were to be a feature on the site that anyone could use, would we be able to refine the search with keywords or specific cards like in the current deck search?

Long-term I would try to add most of the options that you can use in the normal deck search, yes! We might have to start with something more basic in the beginning, but that's the plan at least. :)

At the moment it will simply search your entire collection. What sort of parameters would you like to set? I was planning on adding an option to only include rares, maybe that would help already?

Color, maybe just filter like the card search for only decks who's names include "counters," for example. Or have a large amount of cards that mention the word.

Great idea, I also added a color filter option now! I will also look into having a keyword search option, so you can specify things like "counters" or "tribal".

As a casual player with almost 50 decks, this is the feature I want most. I'm not interested in tournaments, nor colors or likes.
Maybe not the exact same thing, but all I want is to look at my collection and have it tell me which of my decks I have the card in. This would be a great help!

So you would like to have a way to search your own decks for a specific card name? As you say this is a slightly different question, but it's something I can look into in the future as well.

I have just added an option to our deck search that lets you restrict the search to your own decks. So you can now enter the card name there, click the option at the bottom and get a list of all your decks that contain that card. Hopefully that helps? :)

I am looking into making this publicly available, but it is quite challenging for the server so I need to make sure it doesn't slow down the site too much if everyone starts using it!

So, im in the middle of adding to my card collection, I have 3900 cards added. just as I save my collection and get my binder to add my rares, I suddenly get an internal error written mostly in code. on my home page, I can access my saved card collection. however, when I try to manage my collection, I cannot see my collection on the right hand side. I have tried refreshing the page and starting over from home. it doesn't work. has anyone else had this or a similar issue?

Thank you this is a fantastic idea. I was looking for this feature when I joined up. I started magic around the 6 edition then took a long break and only started up again from Ixalan to the latest. I would really like to get a decent playable set of two decks that myself and my partner can play against each other nothing serious.

- Which tournament format are you interested in? (e.g. Standard, Modern, ... - can only be a single format for now)
Standard ( I believe this is the best since I have a number of cards from Ixalan, however would love to see if my older cards could fit in one day!)
- Which colors should the deck have?
I don't really have a preference here more about a playable deck that contains all the cards I have, pretty happy with mono black or white if I must make a choice)
- What is the maximum price of the deck?
No maximum price only would like decks that contain what I have
- What is the minimum number of likes the deck should have? I have found it useful to require at least 1 like to make sure I don't get too many experimental decks that are not actually playable.
