It's been a month or two since we did the Modern Horizon commanders, so which of the new C19 commanders should be do our next board build a deck together thread about?

I'm saying Tahngarth (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Tahngarth). He looks like a difficult build, so I'd love to see what we come up with.

I went Pramikon for similar reasons to Morganator's Tahngarth (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Tahngarth) vote.
I think most of the C19 options have a pretty obvious route to go down, but a few offer some interesting potential to a collective consciousness, and I think Pramikon is one of those few.

I agree with CleanBelwas. I voted for Pramikon for the same reason. Personally I feel Tahngarth, First Mate (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Tahngarth%2C+First+Mate) is going to be similar to Xantcha, Sleeper Agent (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Xantcha%2C+Sleeper+Agent). But I think Tahngarth (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Tahngarth) would be more voltronny. He already has reverse menace, give him trample and he is good to go. And then if you can convince one of your opponents to attack that same person with a little 1/1 that they may get via Forbidden Orchard (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Forbidden+Orchard) or Varchild, Betrayer of Kjeldor (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Varchild%2C+Betrayer+of+Kjeldor). And then throw in some cards like Disrupt Decorum (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Disrupt+Decorum), that new goad equipment from 19 or or Vow of Lightning (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Vow+of+Lightning)

I put in a vote for Rayami, because this is a commander that seriously needs our help! Maybe something janky like 'Lands matter' with Kamahl, Fist of Krosa (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Kamahl%2C+Fist+of+Krosa) and Karn, Silver Golem (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Karn%2C+Silver+Golem) to animate opposing lands/artifacts and then stick a cheap kill spell on Isochron Scepter (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Isochron+Scepter) to exile (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Exile) all their stuff?
Anyway, will have fun adding to the discussion of whichever commander gets picked.

I voted for Marisi because I feel he has a more unique mechanic. The only other goad decks I’ve heard of are Grenzo ones so it’s not completely unique but the other Naya commanders seem focused on tokens which is consistent but boring.

Interesting that there aren't any votes for Atla yet. She's proven to be a popular commander out of the gates so I was certain that she'd see more votes [to be fair, at the time of this post 3 is the top number of votes for any commander...]

I think Atla is a superb commander but I think she'll likely end up with very similar ideas. Most people wouldn't be looking for much beyond scrambled eggs with her.
I think given the nature of this thread is getting a load of people to work together to build a deck, people are more drawn towards commanders who offer something unorthodox or different or even just someone who doesn't have one single obvious build.

Yesterday WWolfe messed up and got trapped in a temporal rift. I'm not sure when the rift will reopen for WWolfe's return, but it should be in a couple days.
Until then, I'm left to run the show.
