WWolfe had the same thoughts I did. On how you are being a little scattered with the idea of this deck. You are being a little rude to the both of us, and when you say work towards the goal, everyone has different ideas about it.

Like for me, I think wolf made a good point about how not many of your creatures trigger each other. if you maybe added a 2 or 3 drop that had a lot of power or toughness you might get towards a greater goal. rakdos cackler might be a good 1 drop because you can power him up with unleash. Maybe looking towards a few other unleash cards would be strong?

I was looking since you are fixed on using green for the sole purpose of accelerating your deck, you could try satyr hedonist as well as your Sylvan Caryatid.

It doesn't look like you have much red either, and since you could use red devotion, maybe adding in a few more red cards would be good? if you aren't trying to make purphoros a creature just let us know.

well, here is your problem. You are running too many different things at once. try to pick one of the things your deck does, and do that.

Currently your deck utilizes all of the following:
-control(via cyclonic rift)
-counter stack (via cloudfin raptor, experiment one, fathom mage, master biomancer)
-Accelerate(via sylvan caryatid)
-Devotion(talk about later)
-Burn (via purphoros, God of the forge)

So as you can see, you are taking 4+ functions of the game, and only using a little bit of each. This doesn't allow you to have much use out of either of them if lets say, you get all evolve creatures and you can't power them up because they are all still 1/1's.

You have some devotion cards. It is very hard to get devotion going unless you are mono colored. This deck has 3 colors which makes devotion an essentially null point in your strategy.

You have a lot of good cards, and I respect that. But you need to pick a path for this deck, and go with it. Or maybe split this deck into two decks, maybe a mono blue devotion deck, and something else?

Either way, good luck

@KStutter82

Since this is a mill deck, having bump in the night is not really part of the over all plan. It is a great card if you are trying to win by life points, but since it is a mill deck, you lose a little of your decks focus by keeping this in your deck. You might want to try adding a counter card like psychic strike or a few doom blade 's? Crypt incursion is also one of my favorite cards in this deck simply because of how many times it will save you from utter destruction.

@orphiz

Since you don't have any unblockable creatures, I would suggest removing paranoid delusions. Also the enchantment creature, Nighthowler, is a pretty inefficient card as a whole. I would suggest adding another wight of precinct six and consuming aberration. I like your idea of fog bank to create a solid wall to block any attackers while you mill through their deck.  Instead of dimir charm, try making use of psychic strike. Also a very strong card to keep you in the game is crypt incursion, this card is also a very strong counter against graveyard decks.

Something that not many people have been including, which is one of m favorite parts of running a mill deck, is traumatize. The card literally puts half their deck in their graveyard. Its a great 2-for.

I would swap out the dryad militant and add in maybe Soldier of the Pantheon instead, since it is a very effective cards against many decks.

other than that this deck looks very strong. I'm trying to make a similar green/white aggro deck. its a work in progress though

this deck is not standard. Just wanted to point that out first.

It has some pretty good combos. I would recommend taking out the 3 dmg card and adding maybe some jace, memory adept. If you can get that card going for one or two turns it would be more than cost effective just by using the zero ability.

« on: October 01, 2013, 12:04:48 am »
There are so many better cards that you could put in here to improve it. First off the most obvious thing anyone is going to say is "More Boros Reckoner !!" but other than that, look into some of the core red aggro cards. Speed the deck up, and don't worry about any of the cards that have life gain.

It seems like you are torn between aggro and white weeny. If you go one way or another you will have a stronger deck. Since you are split right now it is slower and weaker.

If you chose to go weeny deck since you have those ajani, you should look into getting a few Purphoros, God of the Forge . Soldier of the Pantheon is another great white 1 drop card that can be very annoying for multi color decks/cards.

If you decide to go red burn you could go guttersnipe and young pyromancer since you have so many instants.

After the pre-release I put this together, any input would be much appreciated. I'm trying to keep it standard.

What I need are some more auras that are maybe less expensive. If you have a different idea for colors let me know. I'm open to making a good auras/Enchantment deck :D

you have lots of ramp, but what are you ramping to? massing creatures is only good if you can draw that many cards. Maybe take out some of your ramp and add some battalion cards? Goblins are a good place to look for this kind of deck.

On the flip side you could have a lot of token generators and since those are pretty expensive you could try to ramp to those? Pick your win condition, then build around getting that condition maximized.

I'm all about those cards ludabois. Its just they are going out of style soon so I don't really recommend building them into a deck. I love fog bank so much so finding wall of frost was a nice little swap for me. I like those cards you swapped in. Jace's Phantasm is going out of style, but I love that card too. I run wight of Precinct Six in my deck, you can get so much use out of them. I either outrush my opponent with them, or mill them because I can stall them long enough.

i feel like if you only use 2 colors for slivers you are wasting their potential. From what I have seen most sliver players go at least 3, or 4

if u can get your hands on a mutavault or two they go so far in sliver decks because they can instantly become a 2/2 sliver whenever you want. Its so sneaky and u can use it however you want.

maybe adding a few chromatic lantern since that takes care of your mana problems.

I noticed you don't have the haste sliver, maybe its just personal preference, but I love having all of my slivers swinging asap.

So I am looking at your mana. You have 3 galerider sliver and 3 syphon sliver which you don't have any basic land for, but you have 5 cards that give any color mana. If I were you I would take out transguild promenade and add more chromatic lantern

thats not a bad idea. The thing about that is that you are only milling 2 cards. The way I consider that cost is that you draw 2 cards, which is worth 2 mana. Then you are milling 2 cards for 1 mana. Tome scour mills 5 for 1 mana. The next problem is drawing both colors within your first few turns. Given it will happen a decent amount of the time, it won't always happen. I'm 50/50 about pilfered plans.

I put in inaction injunction to get a little bit of card draw, as well as controlling them another turn. It has served me well enough for when i need it.

as far as what I would take out for it, I would swap out a doom blade and a balustrade spy and put in 2 of your pilfered plans.

i wouldn't keep the warden of evos island, they only actually help you with 7 cards in your deck, not really enough to justify for this deck. I threw in wall of frost instead and i have had some amazing success stalling entire attacks because of its ability.

alright I took a look at your deck, and it seems you are caught in the "THIS CARD DOES ALL THIS WOW" state. While this deck will most likely end the game turn 7-9, that does not guarantee that you will make it there.

i like to have a few defensive intended creatures or spells early on to help keep other ppl from rushing you or trying to get their combo off before u can actually get pumping.
