I really like your deck, just wondering what you would recommend to replace Hangarback Walker with once it's out of rotation?

Hi GaugeGuy, personally I won't be playing this card in this deck. As Daku mentioned, you're not really attacking with creatures in this deck, you're instead keeping them on the field and making the most of their abilities. Also for 5 mana, it's really quite expensive for what it does.

If you really do want to play it though, I would recommend you only play up to two copies and see how it goes.

Hi Daku, I've had a look at your deck and taken some inspiration from it in applying the changes you mentioned in regards to Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim and Lantern Scout. Taking what you said into account, I have removed all copies of Lantern Scout and Drana, Liberator of Malakir (mainly because she's too expensive and suffers from similar problems to Lantern Scout), and replacing them with copies of Bloodbond Vampire and Vampire Envoy (I've had to tweak the amount of other creatures as well).

I'm waiting on a few cards to arrive for this deck, but once they get here I'll do a bit of play testing and let you know how it goes.

Thanks for the feedback, if you have any other suggestions, feel free to let me know!

I do agree that Retreat to Hagra might not be the best card, I just sort of threw it in as it's another life draining card. However I'm going to stick by my decision to remove Ayli from the deck. I have played with Ayli many times in this deck and I have found her to be fairly useless. Yes, she can sacrifice a creature and you can trigger a few effects, however I have not found this to be too effective and she ends up just being a 2/3 with deathtouch. She is also not an ally so she doesn't trigger any of the other rally abilities.

I like the look of Eerie Interlude though and I will try and work that into the deck, as well as the same for Ally Encampment (which I will probably replace Caves of Koilos with when it leaves standard).

Thanks for your feedback! If you have any other thoughts please let me know.

Hi liquid90, I'm glad to hear you are enjoying this deck, and thanks for commenting.

I understand you entirely, but I enjoy playing with Alhammarret's Archive because it usually allows me to completely bm my opponent which is always fun. If you don't find it too useful or would rather not play it, may I suggest adding a Read The Bones or another Lantern Scout to replace it.

If you have any other ideas on how to improve this deck, please let me know, I would love to hear them.

Ah, my mistake. Could you suggest any other cheaper options to replace Shambling Vent with?

I really like this deck! Might I suggest replacing the Shambling Vents with Scoured Barrens to bring the cost of the deck down a bit. I know they are weaker cards, but they still gain you life which fits this deck nicely, and you can save yourself £15 ($22).
