I think Elvish Mystic might make a good replacement for Wirewood Elf. With wirewood elf you're gonna be sitting around waiting until turn three before you can use him to add mana to the pool.

That didn't come out so good. I was tired and not very sober. The point is, that Heartless summoning can make Rune Scarrred Demon come into play earlier. It doesn't matter if he's a 3/3, or even a 1/1. What matters is that you get Battle of Wits into play.

Heartless summoning doesn't have to be played if it is not toward your advantage. Sometimes it will be useless. Sometimes it will be extremely useful.

Mother of Runes is so my big attacker/s can be unblockable [essentially]. Creatures with protection from a color cannot be blocked by that color, as we all know. Cloudshift is for if someone tried to doomblade or otherwise kill one of my important creatures [such as Mother of Runes].

I agree with Reaper66. Needs some smaller creatures. Small creatures that can be sacrificed in the mid/late game with graveyard triggers/abilities. That would be neat.
