Hi william_ts!
I built this deck mostly for the nostalgia/fun factor. I have won with this deck, but that wasn’t my main reason to build it.
The problem with a Yurlok deck with mana-doubling effects is that it is a double-edged sword. We can activate Yurlok loads of times, both other players can play there entire hands. I find it fun to see what others can do, but it has killed me as well.
There have been changes for some more Treasure hate; Disciple of the Vault, Collector Ouphe and Root maze. If your playgroup plays a lott of treasure, I can recommend keeping those.
Also, I don’t produce a lot of blockers with this deck. There are token generators, like Night Soil, which would make great additions. If your playgroup is combat heavy, you will have to make some changes.
Also don’t forget that Yurlok has *vigilance*. You can attack with him AND activate him.
My main wincon is Sword of the Paruns, I have won with that the most. You don’t need to activate Yurlok an infinite amount of times. 18 activations (6 lands, 2 mana doublers per land) is plenty, dealing 54 points of damage per player is usually enough.
Helix Pinnacle has never done it for me.
Make a copy of my deck and goldfish with it, you might like it!
