Commander Deck Reviews / Re: Equipped and Prepared

For an Equipment build, you sure have a lot of Aura/Enchantment support for 1/10th of your deck (11 Enchantments).

Consider focusing it into an Aura build that protect or give evasion to your Voltron while the Equipment brings the pain. Leave all the Swords (including Sword of the Animist, it's good ramp), Colossus Hammer, Masterwork in as your heavy hitters and keep Holy Avenger, Shadowspear, and Argentum Armor as good utility. Your enchantments are fine, just add on some more protective stuff (Shielding Plax, Flickerform, Canopy Cover, etc).

As for Instants/Sorceries, you'll want a board wipe or two as well as some removal of your own. Wrath of God/Day of Judgement and Supreme Verdict should suffice for wipes. Beast Within and Generous Gift are good removals as instant/sorcery spells, but Song of the Dryads, Bound in Gold, Darksteel Mutation, and any of the Impetus auras also do work, and with all the Aura support you already have, you should always be able to find an answer when you need it. You're also in blue; run counterspells (Negate, Counterspell, and Mana Leak are good options).

One last thing: Galea is a unique commander for Voltron decks in that while she herself is an OK Voltron, she's more of an enabler capable of turning one of your creatures in the 99 into a Voltron. Look around and see if there's any creatures you want to make a threat. Cold-Eyes Selkie and Bruna are good starts, but look for creatures that can close a game with the right buffs (any Infect creature will do, though it's also a good way to get focused off the table).

Lastly, whatever you choose to do, try to find room for Lightning Greaves and Swiftfoot Boots.

Commander Deck Reviews / (Testing) Arjun's Scrambled Eggheads
« le: Septembre 21, 2021, 12:43:40 am »
Putting an old friend back together, but quite a few things have changed since I tore him apart.  Ultimately, I aim to build him as a low-to-mid power wheel/combo deck. Arjun is very useful to the deck, but his high MV requires that I have backup strategies to keep my hand rotating. I also aim to have most of the nonland cards in my deck be able to (but not required to) replace themselves.
