Izzet Pirates

Izzet control deck focused around controlling your opponent.

This deck is focused mainly on using the new Ixalan cards with some add-ons to make it run better.

Combos include:
Munitions -> Mind Control -> Attack -> Sacrifice -> Ping: This is a repeatable combo so long as munitions is out.
Lightning-Rig Crew -> Cast any Pirate -> Ping -> still have blocker -> Ping again
Siren's Ruse is a fantastic protection card as well as keeping up card draw. My personal favorite with this is attacking with Lannery get treasure and Rusing after for draw and treasure if you need that bit of mana, or rusing Hostage Taker to protect it from removal and bounce it back to steal another card.
Dispersal is pretty much self explanatory as a 2 cost counterspell.
Hieroglyph can be used as turn 1 draw or used later to keep cards in hand.
Aether Hub and Lannery treasures tend to make getting hostage taker out fairly easy and painless or fixing a temporary bad land set up.
Locust God makes a great end game finisher and board filler.

No, real burn in this other than mauling your opponent with his own creatures, protecting your own, or keeping his side of the board empty. If he does start getting his board filled lightning-rig crews can do a number on health pools from the back lines while making it tough to fatal push if they were expecting their own creatures to die in the attack.

Alternatives to Hostage Taker, Spirebluff Canal, and Locust God are fairly simple since only Hijack runs on more than 1 of a single color.

Spirebluff can be replaced for more mountains/islands.
Hostage Taker can be replaced with Vizier of Many Faces
Locust God can be replaced with Enigma Drake.

These are cheaper alternatives that work decently. Other alternatives include filling out the 3 of a kind cards.

Any suggestions at card changes or make it run better is appreciated.
