It would depend on what your goals with the deck are. I was working under a few self-imposed flavor restrictions for this build that informed quite a lot of my deckbuilding decisions. As built, I would say rares are pretty important to achieving those goals, so something that forgoes them would have to change quite a lot.
I will say, though, in a most general sense, Liesa's biggest strength is that she will always cost 5 mana. From the first turn you can play her, you'll be able to replay her every turn after for the rest of the game, making her very resilient to removal. She's also a fantastic way to spend 5 mana - 5/5 Flying with Lifelink is nothing to sneeze at, and in my experience, even at tables in like the 8-range, is more effective and threatening than you might expect. So, mitigating that life loss to be able to constantly replay her I would say is fairly important. That will probably apply to any Liesa deck, regardless of build.
