Correct, but it doesn't really matter. It's still an artifact that I can use for Cyberdrive Awakener or Rise and Shine, it can improvise if I need it to and of course it ramps me.
The only difference it makes is for Mechanized Production, but this deck makes enough treasures that it's only a minor one.
The game plan is
- Get Malcolm out first (ideally before turn 3)
- Get Kediss out and immediately swing with Malcolm (gives opponents less time to remove Kediss before you swing)
- Ramp like there is no tomorrow
- Draw boatloads of cards
- Fetch either Glint-Horn Buccaneer for a single card combo with Malcolm or Reckless Fireweaver and any creature type changer for a two card combo
If nothing else helps, animating all the treasure tokens you're making and slinging them at your opponents or casting Mechanized Production can win, too.
Hellkite Tyrant is only bait for removal.
