Ah man, I wish you were still here in Oakie town so we could play. This looks like it gets a ton of value out of the cards! Do any of the new cards in Fate Reforged look like they'll fit? -Alex

Check out "Quest for the Nihil Stone." I think you might go nuts when you see it!

Joiner Adept and Chromatic Lantern both can color fix, but Prismatic Omen's probably the best color fixer.

Prismatic Omen + Last Stand = Shenanigans.

Magus of the Coffers, Caged Sun, and perhaps even Extraplanar Lens? Probably not Magus actually, but the caged sun / lens could be cool.

Check out Kazandu Tuskcaller. I can see the Elephant theme going on here, so I'm hoping her name and abilities fit well enough that you'll cut her slack for being human :)

How often does "Damnation" become useful? If you're investing a lot of resources/turns into your creatures, it seems like it would be a dead draw fairly often. Would you swap that out for nighthawks?

Some of my favorites are "Feast of Blood," "Necropolis Regent," "Bloodlord of Vaasgoth," and "Malakir Bloodwitch." Of those, I think the Regent and the Bloodlord fit your theme best. There's also the "Butcher of Malakir" and "Anowon, the Ruin Sage" to consider. Unfortunately most of these have high mana costs. I think the Bloodlord would be the best fit of the vampires I can think of. He'd be the top of your curve, and would make all of the creatures you cast from then on more relevant.

A friend of mine has an absolutely disgusting and fast vampire deck that uses many of the same cards that you are using here, and he has I think 2 Necropolis Regents in it despite the mana cost. He usually Rituals them out and smashes, which winds up being very painful. I think his w/l record in our playgroup with that deck so far is 11-1, even with all the multiplayer matches and the shenanigans that go with them.  (The only one he lost was a 1v1 versus my Pump! deck).
He also uses "Falkenrath Aristocrat," which winds up getting stupid when he also has out a Captain, Regent, or Nocturnus.

Another interesting interaction to consider is what happens when you have a Captain and a Vampire Nighthawk out at the same time. First Strike Deathtouch? Please!

"Vines of Vastwood" is basically a better Titanic Growth. It gives hexproof along with the same +4/+4, for the same cost. The Unblockable isn't terribly necessary (usually) because I can mostly just trample over them. As to Enlarge, I'm mostly looking for instant-speed buffs, so I don't use a sorcery and show my hand before they declare blockers.

I feel that my biggest problem is a lack of creatures. I think I need to take it to a full set of Dungrove Elders, and possibly 2 more creatures (perhaps "Charging Badger" from BNG)

Yeah, this was basically an experiment to see how much it would cost me to build a demon deck that I would actually like to play. As you might imagine, I opted to build several other decks rather than just this one. That said, I did pull out Xathrid. It might be good for multiplayer, but it seems like it would be easier / more fun to just beat face with the other demons.

"Mossbridge Troll" for shenanigans. Although his mana cost is prohibitive. How can you pass up those shenanigans though!? haha

I did some further reading, and the counters *can* exits on the card simultaneously, but only until state-based actions are checked (at which point some of them are annihilated).

There actually is an interaction between counters:
121.3 If a permanent has both a +1/+1 counter and a -1/-1 counter on it, N +1/+1 and N -1/-1
counters are removed from it, where N is the smaller of the number of +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters
on it.

I was using this interaction to give a creature with Undying (and a +1/+1 on it already) persist, so that it would come back with a -1/-1. Then, it could stick around to die (and return) again.
I hope I don't come of as a jerk with my rules-ninja bit there :/

I love "Read the Bones," but I think that for one more mana, "Geth's Grimoire" might be a winner in this deck. It would generate disgusting card advantage. "Hypnotic Spectre" also makes a good creature for this, especially since it forces a *random* discard.
