No, it allows for Wizards and/or one of their distributors to continue selling online under the SportsandMore name at below MSRP direct to consumers. WOTC is either behind that ebay account, or implicitly just sanctioned whichever distributor is liquidating their supplies outside of the normal channels. Local game stores have to buy from a distributor, since they ended the WOTC direct program, so the LGS gets screwed at both ends. LGS don't get the same discount as a distributor at wholesale pricing, and they don't get the sales from end consumers either because a distributor is undercutting them on the open market. Without MSRP, it's a race to the bottom on price.

They've just killed the local game store. So where are we all supposed to play with our expensive pieces of cardboard?

Apparently by ourselves, in a room, staring a a computer screen. But not with the cardboard, but digital representations of them. Oh, and the ones you've already got in cardboard aren't worth anything in pixel cards.

I might make room for a couple copies of Karn, Scion of Urza, as his "Karnstructs" will be huge with all the treasures, and he can help you draw. Maybe drop a Moment of Craving or Teysa Karlov as others have said.

Main looks pretty good. Maybe 1-2 less copies of Ethereal Absolution, as that's a lot of six drops. Final Payment seems like a strictly worse version of Cast Down or Walk the Plank. It could be replaced with either card. Yeah it feeds Afterlife, but without lots of anthems for the spirits, the original creature will likely be tougher and more powerful than the spirit you end up with. It's a wash, whereas cast down or ritual of soot can hit even when you have no creatures to sacrifice.

If it were me, since you're splashing blue anyway, my sideboard would be full of essence scatter, negate and disdainful stroke. Syndicate Messenger doesn't seem well costed, that could go. Could probably lose a copy of Contempt. The side copy of Teysa can go too, I'd rather see another copy of Seraph of Scales in that slot.

- 1-2 Ethereal Absolution
- 3 Syndicate Messenger
- 1 Vraska's Contempt
- 4 Final Payment
+ 2 Consecrate // Consume
+ 2-4 Cast Down
+ 3 Negate

For the main: Treasure map or Arguel's Bloodfast.

For the side: Duress, Vraska's Contempt, Josu Vess, Lich Knight, Conclave Tribunal, and personally I like Danitha Capashen, Paragon over Kwende. They both die to shock, but one is cheaper to cast.

This is degenerate. But I like your style. Sword Point Diplomacy is trash tier, but fits the theme well. You should make room for Demon of Catastrophes as well, as gutterbones makes an excellent sacrifice, and it might make Liliana's contract that much easier to pull off.

I liked this a lot, so I made a variant. I will probably have to buy the Remorseful clerics, as I think that is more reliable than having Vraska out and waiting after laying down Fall of the Thran.

Huatli, Warrior Poet and Huatli, Radiant Champion create tokens and interact well with tokens, respectively. Just for consideration. You might be able to get away with 1-2 less lands or Boros Lockets to fit her in.

Otherwise, great looking deck. I might question how much utility Llanowar Elves will get you in this deck, as your highest CMC spell has Convoke on it (so any creature could tap to fuel) and your next highest (Settle the Wreckage and Leonin Warleader) are in a different color. I guess settle or Leonin on turn 3 could be pretty good though, if the lands come out just right.

What if your opponent casts Unmoored Ego naming Nicol Bolas, the Ravager? Ral and Enigma Drake are nice, but you basically only win if you're unchallenged in the air or can flip Bolas. Bolas is good but relying on one card is a sure way to lose.

Rather than have a bunch of spells (Entrancing Melody and Notion Rain particularly) that won't win you the game, I'd run either a hand destruction/surveil shell or some dragon ramp pieces. Dragon's Hoard or Sarkhan, Fireblood will help mana fix for Bolas as well as ramp him out. To take full advantage of the ramp you would need more big dragons (ramp piece comes in turn 3, turn 4 ramp a 4-, 5- or 6-drop) like Demanding Dragon, Niv-Mizzet, Parun, Volcanic Dragon or Verix Bladewing. Even Shivan Dragon is worth playing if you can cast him for 4. Well, sort of. Anyway, I think you need to commit to hand destruction or more dragons.

RE: Llanowar Elves, alternatively you could use for the 3-drop Draconic Disciple, who taps for any color and has a late game function as well.

On another matter, I can only see one card keeping you in white, Cast Out, which frankly isn't enough for me. I know Palladia-Mors, the Ruiner needs W to come in, but that's a job for Sarkhan, Fireblood, Draconic Disciple and Dragon's Hoard. Cutting Cast Out in favor of Spit Flame (or some other removal piece) would let you rebalance your manabase towards Green sources to support Llanowar Elves or other dorks.

I'm just concerned that you're pretty much all in on Multani. I mean Swordtooth is a decent threat mid to late game, but the format is full of decent threats that your opponent can trade with Swordtooth. But if they Ixalan's Binding or Cast Out your Multani you're kinda screwed. If you're going to rely on bounce instead of hexproof to protect multani, I think you need more bounce.

Admittedly, post-sideboard you have answers for Vraska's Contempt or Cast Out in the form of Negate or Broken Bond, but why not anticipate the removal that will no doubt be deployed against you in game 1? Seems like one unlucky Vraska's Contempt could put you out of the game real quick.

I think you either need to go full artifact deck (With Tezzeret and all) or else play Raff Capashen, Ship's Mage and make it an instant-speed Historic deck.

Negate, Dusk Legion Zealot, Divination and Siren Stormtamer probably wouldn't go in either deck. Traxos, Scourge of Kroog and Zahid, Dhinn of the Lamp might go in either one, but that would depend on the shape each deck took.

Sorry this isn't more help, it just seems like you've got a foot halfway into two or three different archetypes.

Ynfinity has some good advice. My only caveat there is that some of those cards aren't standard legal (swords to plowshares, lol).

1. Needs more anthem effects. Radiant Destiny, Vanquisher's Banner, or Metallic Mimic would all be good choices.
2. Cavalry Drillmaster and Lena, Selfless Champion can be cut, I'd say in favor of the above Mimic and something like Angel of Invention or Aethersphere Harvester. Dauntless Bodyguard is just not an effective card.
3. Needs at least a handful of equipments to make running the Novice Knight worthwhile.
4. Land variety. Get a few Desert of the True in there, or Shefet Dunes, or even Sunscorched Desert.

That's all a must. What follows are more... off the wall suggestions.

Perhaps splash black for some of the high CMC multicolor Knights like Aryel, Knight of Windgrace, Arvad the Cursed or Vona, Butcher of Magan. Or go a bit more than a splash and include Josu Vess, Lich Knight.
