I understand Land Grant is free to cast, but what is it doing for you if there are no Forests in the deck?

UBR is not my usual color mix, but this looks like lots of fun ...

sadly, the Ur-Dragon is very common in my area, so per your writeup, not a good matchup for me.

it's not a fragile deck at all, you can keep casting the treasure hunt and making bears in the early turns

I just ran this yesterday - and found out that having the Ayula's Influence in your starting hand and drawing the Spellbook - let's just say that on turn 4, when I triggered the Treasure Hunt, I decked myself out.

HAHAHAHA - probably need to mulligan if you have either of those in your opening hand so that you still have at least one "stop click" in your deck/library.

But, hey, I was able to discard to create something like 40 bears, then on my next turn, no cards in my library, so I immediately lost the game.

My staple card is Zur the Enchanter.

Seriously, Sol Ring and the shock lands and not much else.

... but lands just feel bad.
I've often wondered if the whole lands mechanic, as integral as it is to Magic, isn't just bad game design. The number of games where I've just been stuck on like 3-4 lands for a bunch of turns and lost as a result is too high!  :)

I think that's why Rosewater designed Keyforge  without that concept.

Syr Konrad, the Grim + Tortured Existence + Phyresis = nasty way to spend black mana
or Glistening Oil

there are some stupidly expensive black combos, but having cards go into your graveyard and back to your hand, dealing 2 infect counters each time ... do that a few times and it's game over.

Commander Deck Reviews / Mirri first strike/double strike deck
« en: Marzo 07, 2022, 12:05:38 am »
is this something worth brewing?

Commander: Captain Sisay
tutor first for Mirri, Weatherlight Duelist
tutor second for Kwende, Pride of Femeref

rest of the creatures are mostly white weenies with first strike ... I think you can see where this is going ...

10 of your creatures are legendary, that may not play out as you want it to.
