Well, the deck still hits quite fast and hard, so I think it's a fitting name :) But sure, you could make the deck way more aggressive/low curve, if you wanted to.

I like the way this is headed, with white also having tons of access to life gain shenanigans. First off, I would capitalize on the life gain with extra life gain win cons like Felidar Sovereign - it:s always nice to have multiple paths to victory. Secondly, I would throw away mana rocks like the signets, since you have access to green. Replace the rocks with ramp spells like Farseek or Skyshroud Claim, depending om how heavy you lean towards green of course.
EDIT: I see you already have Farseek in the deck, my bad. Also, I wouldn't include the life gain dual lands, the cons outweigh the pros by a large margin.

two other shenanigans cards to mention quickly too- what do you think about Crystal Shard or Erratic Portal? I'm paranoid about keeping araumi's casting cost low, so i'm thinking about them in terms of defense, but they can return our other ETB'ers back for abuse too. Mimic Vat for ETB abuse as well.

These aren't bad cards, but if we focus too many resources on trying to keep Araumi on the battlefield, we run the risk of having an unfocused deck. If these two cards synergized well with the rest of our game plan, I might be tempted to include them, but our big important targets are mostly tokens... which means bouncing them will straight up kill them. Netherborn Altar is a bit different, since it only targets our commander and is much more affordable.

your boy barfy is back at it again!

I didn't see the malakir rebirth here last time I checked, that seems cheap enough to actually do some encore work. I cut Discontinuity because it just seems too expensive to be viable after paying for an encore.

Kokusho is in your maybeboard and mainboard, they explode each other from the legend rule and don't get the drain, right?

In the ramp section, consider a Coalition Relic since it gets you two mana instead of the commander sphere maybe?

I thought Black Market would be cool with the encores, but I've never actually played with it. Did you get any testing done with that card? Might be too expensive by the time it comes out to really do any work, but anything to encore to those fat targets while managing counterspell protection and all that.

Is unfulfiled desires worth a slot? Looter effect that's harder to deal with than a creature, though it does cost mana.

I also saw Soldevi Adnate as a potential cool card to get more value out of encore targets, but it is pretty limited in the timespan of when it does stuff... can't sac things later for like a counterspell or whatever, but you do have a lot of big black boys for your encore targets, so maybe check that out.

Teferi's Time Twist could work as a bounce on an encore target for another ETB or save araumi from a wrath / removal, i thought that card seemed cool in its versatility.

is Emry, lurker of the Loch worth a look? can retrieve artifacts that got milled away, while doing a little milling itself.

Is obsessive stitcher too expensive for its double duty as a looter and reanimator?

I saw corpse connoisseur wasn't in there. Not worth it for the big mana to tutor a super card? Gravebreaker Lamia is kind of in the same boat, doesn't make encore cost less, but gives a little life linker at least.

Has Bond of Insight and Archaeomancer been good?

Here's a crazy one - Mirror-mad phantasm supermills the araumi deck.

Would Netherborn Altar be worth it to keep commander tax low? Always wanted to try this one out.

And finally... Wake the Dead seems like a funny way to double-dip on the big ETB targets earlier than they should normally happen. You have the primordials in your deck too, those are the super targets... maybe not so hot with the massacre wurm or gary though.

First off, a lot to unpack here. I will try to answer each note separately, forgive me if I miss something!

I haven't tried Discontinuity myself, but I think it offers the same value as Teferi's Veil and Sundial of the Infinite. If you like those effects and want more, you could run Discontinuity.

I've recently upgraded a few of my decks with the MDFC lands from ZNR, so I'm curious to do some further testing on them. So far, most of them seem to be really solid inclusions, and you can even swap them 1-for-1 with your basic lands if you don't care that much about speed. I've really enjoyed Malakir Rebirth as a cheap and effective way of protecting Araumi.

All but ONE Kokusho, the Evening Star will die because of the legendary rule, yes, but we're playing him only for that death trigger, which causes a huge life swing in our favor. It's like having a second, though admittedly weaker, Gray Merchant of Asphodel IMO.

Commander's Sphere is expensive, but we can sac it and have it in the graveyard for Araumi's encore targets (where we have to exile cards). Not the best mana rock though.

I haven't tried Black Market, it seems like more of a "big black mana" deck type of card. It could accrue some value rather quickly with our encore creatures dying, but at that point in the game (turn 5-6 ish), I just don't see why we would need the extra mana. I might be wrong though, you are right that it's nice to have mana up for Counterspell!

Soldevi Adnate is a very cool and flavorful card, but we're not necessarily planning to sacrifice creatures. If the deck was more focused on sac fodder and outlets, it would be a nice inclusion. The reason why Altar of Demtia is in the deck, is because it serves the double purpose of saccing AND milling. Soldevi Adnate could however very easily add 6+ black mana, which is nice, but only if can activate Araumi one more time, of if we want to cast one our big spells, which are mostly board wipes. I guess it depends on what your mana curve looks like, mine is a bit below average (3.20 vs. 3.33).

Unfulfilled Desires is also a card I haven't tried. Looter il-Kor is suprisingly strong in my deck, so I wouldn't be surprised if this card can shine as well.

Teferi's Time twist doesn't work well with tokens, I wouldn't include it.

Emry, Lurker of the Loch is a very strong card, but IMO she needs to be in her own deck focused around her abilities. In our deck, she would mostly be a bad mill piece, which we already have A TON of access to.

Obsessive Stitcher seems good on paper, but the fact that she removes creatures for Araumi to encore is a big no no. I only have two recursion spells in my deck other than Araumi, and those I only use in case Araumi is too expensive to cast.

Corpse Connoisseur and Gravebreaker Lamia are just worse versions of Entomb, and are too expensive and slow IMO.

Bond of Insight and Archaeomancer are crazy good. We don't have a lot of ways to get our spells back, and these fill that role beautifully.

Mirror-Mad phantasm seems like a nice jank card, and I'm very tempted to try it out! It just doesn't seem very good, unfortunately, since we'll die as soon as we draw our next card.
EDIT: Oh, it shuffles itself in the deck! I read that wrong. Hmm, this could actually have potential as high risk high reward kinda card - tell me if you have any luck with it! Still a bit janky IMO, better to rely on spells like Thirst for Knowledge or Fact or Fiction.

Haven't tried Netherborn Altar, could be worth a slot since Araumi gets removed A LOT.

Wake the Dead seems cool, but it doesn't synergize very well with Araumi. She's very selective about what creatures she wants in the graveyard, and she focuses on quality over quantity. If we had a go wide zombie mass reanimator deck or something similar, this would definitely be worth a slot.

Bazunja, I am surprised you aren't using this. Magus of the Jar with encore and then sacrificing all 3. You've just milled yourself and your opponents 21 cards.

That IS some nice spice! However, I don't like filling my opponents graveyards, since there are a lot of reanimator decks in my meta.

You are running Jace's Archivist so it shouldn't matter and Panharmonicon is ok but you are running a little light for creatures that have etb triggers. That is why I didn't put it into my deck

That's what so nice about caring more about the volume of the graveyard than caring about putting one or two specific targets in: Your graveyard becomes a swiss army knife of stuff, since you'll always have something relevant in there. I've never had a situation where Panharmonicon didn't have a relevant target since I mill myself at such a rapid pace; there's just always an ETB target, since half of my deck is in the grave  ;) Also, Panharmonicon with Gary, one of the primordials or Massacre Wurm is usually enough to finish off a couple of players while sometimes outright winning the game on the spot depending on the board state/what people have in their graveyards.

The way I understand it "normal" tokens, ie tokens like 1/1 soldiers, don´t count towards your devotion to a single color. However, tokens that are copies of actual creatures should count. Not sure if that´s correct though, but a quick google search seems to agree, fx this post on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/magicTCG/comments/1v9r3u/does_a_11_snake_token_count_towards_devotion_to/

EDIT: Also, I would consider running more loot card like Thirst for Knowledge or Thirst for Meaning, since they empty all your encore targets out of your hand AND can be card selection in a pinch. I would also cut Gravebreaker Lamia, since its discount ability doesn't work with encore (you don't cast the creatures). If you're interested, you can give my deck a look: https://deckstats.net/decks/152475/1812025-my-mill-shake-brings-all-the-b

EDIT 2: Last Edit, sorry! I would also check out this video where Joey from the EDHrec podcast goes in depth about Araumis strengths and weaknesses: https://youtu.be/jsyLi9kRkeE

I really like the idea of this deck, but man, there just aren't a lot of apes out there, so it's hard to come with any suggestions for creatures. Which sucks, since the creature count is kinda low imo. If you aren't that dedicated to the idea of every creature counting as an ape AND representing an ape in the artwork, I would definitely go the changelig/shapeshifter way too (which you've already done a little bit) - try out Masked Vandal, it's really great! Otherwise, I like the pun route that @Bonethousand suggested, where you go with cards like Apex Devastator; ie cards that either references apes or ape-related stuff.
