I like mana web and defnese grid, they were both in my original build list, though taken out for fear of being too nasty. I'm gonna test with and without but I hope they're not to saltifying for the final cut.

I like you janky combo but my play group have an informal no go infinite rule (we still play pretty powerful decks it's just an arbitrary point that we all are happy with) unless the cards are playable outside of the combo so i've been pretty switched of to those options.

Zo-zu has been jumping in and out of the maybe board but agree he should get in and stay in.
I want to avoid land destruction for land destructions sake but i am super into that destructive flow card.... hmmm maybe time to lose what few scrupples I have left.

I also had this dawning realisation that I should put in more artifact mana so I don't get stung by my own cards... time for more cuts.

Thanks again for your imput buddy.

I was trying to keep the number of non-basics down to stop myself getting burnt by [[burning earth]] but you're right, command tower is pretty much better than all the other non basics i have in there. Will rectify.
The mana reflection is so that Kurlok himself taps for more, and thereby burns more.
the tap all lands thing is so that people don't have untapped lands on not on their turn so they're less likely to be able to use the mana yurlok gives them. It hopefully also induces miss-plays were people tap all their lands in response to the trigger to make mana but aren't able to use it all.
Stoneshaker Shaman is again to try and stop people keeping mana up and hopefully make people tap their lands for mana and take the burn instead of saccing a land.

Thanks for the questions, good to justify my choices in words.
that being said, the deck really is as yet untested and a bit wacky so i expect some major revisions.
I've got a more upto date version thats actually edh legal somewhere.

Hey folks,

trying hard to build the new mana burn commander but im seriously running up against a lot of nonmbo's with all the tap all lands player controls cards, it seems you're just hoping for miss plays and people floating more mana than they need to.

Has anyone thought of any excellent synergy stuff that i've missed from this list?

I'm trying to run mainly basics because of the card that has pain on tapping non basics.
