I know you said you made this deck with what you had in hand, so you won't be able to apply those tips right now, and maybe you already know some of it, but I'll say them anyway
- Any good deck needs to focus on a low amount of diferent strategies. If you take a lot of diferent cards and put only one or two of each, you will end up with a bunch of cards that won't really work well together, and you will always have a different hand. For that same reason, every card you have after 60, is only another turn you need to draw before you can have the needed cards to complet your strategy. Having the minimum amount of cards (60) and try to use only those cards that really go with you strategy is usually the best way (there are some exceptions).
My first deck was a duel deck that I bought with my girlfriend. Duel decks are packs of 2 prebuilded decks that are meant to be played one against the oder. They are really bad, but I tried it, took the strategies I liked the most from it, and started replacing cards one by one. I would suggest you to do something similar: take this deck you just made, play it and see what strategies you like the most. Then go to gatherer.wizards.com
and try to find cards that would help this strategies. usually you will need at least 2 copies of the same card for it to work, because if you have only one you will draw it in really rare ocasions and it won't help much (again, there are exceptions), and for most cards you will be using 3 copies or 4.
good luck with your first deck!
