Whenever equipped creature deals combat damage to a player, each player discards their hand and draws seven cards.

Commander Discussion / I feel like Voltron need another kind of "Masterwork of Ingenuity"

Masterwork of Ingenuity is great and all.

But I feel like in commander we need a version that ignores the legends rule, maybe costing like 3 instead of 1.

What do you think or I am missing a card?

With cards getting more and more expensive, and cards getting more and more complex.

This site (and Edhrec) has really done alot the heavy lifting with my MTG exp.

Even stop buying cards because still haven't found a deck I "truely" like. (Though I do buy something once a year if it's cool enough.)

And really found it hard being Mardu/Rakdos equipment player, with Simic Control just being MTG Favorite child.

So just thank you for the aid.

Commander Discussion / Homeward Path (seems to becoming a must pick over time.)

homeward path - basically the anti theft card, seems to becoming more and more of a counter.

Because there is an increase of taking opponents cards like Xanathar, Guild Kingpin, Rashmi and Ragavan, and either form of Etali. (plus alot more and likely more to come.)

Honestly I think rate Homeward Path above Rogue's Passage because I think I will get better use out it then the other now a days.

What do you think?

Deck Reviews / Rakdos Voltron, Repeat *Rakdos Voltron*. (Aka NO WHITE MANA TO HOLD US DOWN.)

Shagrat, Loot Bearer I feel like was overlooked in this set. And not highly rated because 4 mana makes him Jank.

But then again, I also see all the combos that are now open because you don't have access to white.

I feel like the main thing holding equipment decks back was the limitions of white mana.

Boros suffered for literally decades for this.

Mardu is still under development. (Looking at Syr Gwyn possible return soon.)

And Bant leans more into Aura focus, then equipment.

So here is a Rakdos commander with a free equip ability (which can also steal others) and Army Token Generation.

If you attack more with double strike (or other), you can even free equip twice.

And Army tokens have alot of good cards from this set. (Even Orc Bowmaster (Anti Wheel), which can win instant games with a certain combo.)

So I see this card as a win/win and worth the cost.

So......Wondering why people are overlooking it?

General Magic / Hope "Wilds of Eldraine" Brings alot New "Monarch Equipment" for Mardu Knights.

Because Syr Gwyn and Mardu Knights I think need more cards to help lean into this theme.

" Monarch Mardu Knights " seems like a fitting theme but the cards are just not there yet.

It's close with recent set releases.....

But not close enough to make a functional EDH deck around.

Crown of Gondor (mainly), Bloodcrusher of Khorne, Forth Eorlingas!, and Oath of Eorl.

Are all welcome additions, that I think make the path possible.

But I feel like we a few more equipment around the Monarch theme to get Syr Gwyn going.

What do you think?

General Magic / Do you think Orcish Bowmasters will be banned?

I just added it to my esper wheel knight deck..... and doing a casual 21 damage followed by summoning and 21/21 orc army token .... seems alot more OP then when I added Dockside Extortionist to the mardu wheel knight deck I tried to make.

(Specially since it's easier to wheel and reanimate in esper.)

General Magic / Thran Portal and Monument to Perfection

recently updated my Isshin deck to see what we could do with Monument to Perfection.

And I realized that Thran Portal might count to the Monument to Perfection. (Because Thran becomes choice basic land type.)

Am I right or wrong on this?

Final DnD update, (now that all the art is updated...Though would like it to be easier to see the back of some cards.)


Give me a review on the current version. We come a long way from (Black green Infect) to Nahiri, the Lithomancer (pre-voltron), Mathas Curses (which wasn't us), to Tymna the Weaver // Vial Smasher the Fierce (attempt wheel/ thief) to Syr Gwyn Voltron (Which was too slow), Negan Voltron Broad Wipes thief (which wasn't us), to Galea, Kindler of Hope (infect)(repeating old problems) to now Isshin of the Yakuza.

I have some side projects with Sultai Oozes, (Something new around Snow) and Jund infect but I am shelving them for now.

Because I think my main dish is done.

Commander Discussion / Planar Collapse? Why are not people playing this in Edh?

aka planar collapse is a cheap (2) one colorless, one white "delayed wrath" enchantment that triggers once 4 creatures are on the battlefield on your upkeep.

Works well to me in my aggro Edh deck, that primary wants to out value the opponents and even has ways to replay it again.

But confused why I have not seen much talk about this card.
