1) Vadrok is definitely only a gravy card but he can mutate onto a brashy boy giving you a flying blocker and let you cast a 3 mana spell from your graveyard (like say quasidupiclate to get more brashy boys )

2) Still working on this one, so yes, might throw one of those damage doublers or triplers in, but throwing one of those down on the battlefield will bring a lot of attention to myself and make me enemy number one so it may not be worth it. Might be sneakier to run spell copiers that can be cast at instant speed.
