Kraken Hatchling is a good blocker, but offers nothing else. Embodiment of Spring on the other hand is a good blocker with early mana ramp. Whelming Wave is too expensive to mesh with Kraken Hatchling. Dragon's Eye Savants would be great if more expensive. Especially if you had counter spells to use and needed info. Sidisi's Faithful is good and cheap for stalling and you have a sacrificial lamb with your other one blue mana creature. It also works with Whelming Wave. You can use it on itself if you run out of expendable creatures.

A counter spell that scries would mesh well here. Calculated Dismissal may be too much mana to be played in time though. Is there a two or one mana version?

Frost Walker cannot be hit by your spells. It sacrifices before it resolves. And it is Blue. :p You don't have enough Blue for adding it to make sense.

Tormented Thoughts is a Sorcery. Not going to get much use out of it in the early game. And the only use late game will be versus heavy draw decks. I would suggest grabbing Nightsnare or Diplomacy of the Wastes for more general targeted discard if you're set on it.

But Altar's Reap would do well in this deck.

Will add Ulamog's Reclaimer and Mirror Mockery later.

When Ulamog's Reclaimer attacks, it clones.

This triggers its ETB to return a Lightning spell.

May need more Exile cards, but should work.

Map the Wastes is also useful before your attack turn since it does Landfall and Bolster.

In most cases only put 4 of something if you want it on turn 1 or 2. Land and cards that decks revolve around are the exception. Also, you can use Natural Connection to cause Instant Landfall. Same with fetch lands. The Retreats might also be useful with those creature removal and control spells that have you grabbing hexproof.

Pearl Lake Ancient may be something to look into. Great for Landfall. Can be played on an opponent's end step, and can evade.

You should have Talent of the Telepath instead of Dreadwaters for more reliable mill and added spells. Especially without land grab. Also, adding Retreat to Coralhelm will let your Skyline Cascade tap defenders and let your attackers untap to defend. Would probably go well with your creature focus. Clone Legion would make a better choice as a Sideboard. Can't see it being played much. Displacement Wave would work better with your Awaken. Does not return lands.
