A B/R deck i've been working on. I find the synergies to be very enjoyable and i'm still looking to make improvements to it, but I might play it at FNM this friday. I don't have risk factor so that is why it is in the maybeboard, but does it seem like a good modern card?

Boros, goblins and pirates.

Inspired by my friends old boros deck that used only creatures. I was excited to find we had so many creatures in standard that make for solid removal.
I only just came up with this and it will take me some time to get the cards. What do you all think of it? should I run more mana? and what should I sideboard...

I realized after playing this a few times that I needed to aim for mid-range rather than aggro. Basically I was playing it wrong. I'm tying out some different things to keep the deck in control of the board till I can kill my opponent outright.

Hit hard with the likes of Valduk and Champion of the flame. Lots of stuff to bring creatures back from the graveyard because my creatures are going to be easy targets for removal.

I've been trying to collect the cards for it on magic arena and its been a slow grind so far. I'd like to know what people think would work better or what doesn't work in it. Maybe I should be running more equipment because i'm hoping to bring things back from the grave often? I'm not sure yet where to go with it.

Is Sparring construct a possibility here? Since it gives a +1 counter when it dies it could make your dinosaurs beefier to take more hits later.

I'm not too knowledgable about modern so maybe there are better draw cards for this deck? but the idea is basically put my opponent at 10 with torgaar then burn them twice with shrapnel blast. If they are running agressive then I can put in more removal and burn spells. Easiest way to bring out torgaar is to swing with hope of ghirapurr to lock them out of counters and removal during my turn.

I just made it so I havent gotten to test it out yet. I imagine it will be really inconsistent, but when it wins it will win early on.

Worked on the sideboard a bit. Played several matches against a wizard aggro deck and realized bomat courier does not fair well against other aggro decks so I put other draw effects in the side. Magma spray for dealing with recursion and a few obvious choices to fill it out. I'm trying to keep  the price of the deck low because I see that as a key selling point in red decks.

I like it. I dont think you need 24 lands in a mono red deck though. Especially because you do have ways to generate treasure.

Just trying to make a super cheap, super agressive standard deck, friends. Can play valduk as early as turn 2 and swing for as high as 13 by turn 3.

I used a less thought out version of this deck last friday. I only won 1/4 matches, but in one game I managed to do 16 damage in one turn from playing X cost artifacts for 0 and it felt pretty good. Hopefully with this version of the deck it will be more consistent and capable of putting the Pia's or athreos on the field sooner than later.
