I like the idea but I miss something to gain life, because the mana base can destroy you without taking into account you opponent... Maybe some Lightning Helix, Kitchen Finks or Scavenging Ooze could work.
Also the Fleecemane Lion activated ability is a bit hard to cast, I would reccommend you to reduce the number of copies to 1-2, and the Sprouting Thrinax is not really worth with all the usefull creatures that are now available... or at least that's my opinion.

Maybe you could try to add another color so you can use cards with cmc 3 and the ability of cascade, like Ardent Plea, Demonic Dread or Violent Outburst. This way, you may have more chances of cast a Treasure Hunt and the strategy of the deck is not affected. Also, at turn 3 some aggro decks may have destroyed you, do you have any way of fightning it? Nice deck

I would try with Treacherous Pit-Dweller and Aether Vial, with low cmc creatures must work like a bomb.

If you have problems against heavy control decks maybe a few copies of Dryad Militant would be usefull instead of Caustic Caterpillar. This creature helps against Snapcasters and plenty of decks which work with the graveyard.

If the Vampire Hexmage is in the deck only for transforming the Thing in the ice, you should take into account that you have to cast a sorcery/instant spell for the transformation anyways. Nice deck btw.
