If you want to make this deck Modern legal, you could swap out the Counterspell for Logic Knot. Given the heavy looting mechanics and symmetrical mill effects you've got going on, it's pretty close to the same card so long as you're careful not to wreck your delirium status. Also, if you find yourself unsatisfied with your current creature selection, I might suggest Disciple of the Ring, as it's somewhat of a mini-planeswalker that can increase your counter magic, beat face, and tap down bombs, all while letting you get extra value out of your spent spells. Only downside; cmc of a full sized planeswalker.

A somewhat monetarily cheaper alternative to the training grounds + paradise mantle + gilder bairn combo (since you also kind of need to run those 4 idyllic tutors for that) would be to run the infinite myr combo of 2 myr galvanisers and any combination of myr that produce two mana if you want infinite mana, or a single mana if you just want to keep untapping the core tapper forever. That would have the benefit of getting found by the fabricates you're already running, and if you wanted even more tutor you could grab a kuldotha forgemaster. Additionally, if you wanted a monetarily cheaper way (or just an additional way) to get back artifacts, a trading post can get you there for two colorless and one life, over two turns if you only have one out, or on one turn if you have two. Added bonus; those go into your hand instead of on top of the library.

You could make it pauper legal by replacing those checklands with lifelands, cutting the price in half again while you're at it.
