[Modern] Anti Infect?

This is my anti-infect attempt. I am trying to keep units on the field until I can get some protection on them, and set up a Stuffy Doll Pariah combo to keep poison counters from actually hitting me. I do want to keep this deck Modern

I am still new to this and would appreciate thoughts and feedback.

I think this is what I am going to go with. I will let you know how it works!

Revision 8

Added/removed cards:
+2 Larger Than Life
+3 (SB) Scrounging Bandar

Changed amounts:
-2 (Main) +2 (SB) Swell of Growth

This is what it is looking like after taking all of you suggestions. Here are my two main questions at this point.

1st, are there too many two-of cards in this deck now? I am worried it is getting thinned out and the combos may start slipping.

2nd, Freshness made a good point about the longtusk cub needing to connect in order to gain energy and I have no trample or anything else to help connect. Would they be worth adjusting my instants or adding some sideboards? Should I replace them outright? Or, am I overly concerning myself.

Again, this has been a delightful experience and I really appreciate the insight and help in building this deck.

Revision 7

Added/removed cards:
+2 Consulate Turret
+2 Fabrication Module
+2 (Main) +2 (SB) Heroic Intervention
+2 Slab Hammer

Changed amounts:
-1 Bristling Hydra
-2 Forest
-2 Highspire Infusion
-1 Longtusk Cub
-2 Swell of Growth

I do have a few suggestions for you on the deck build, and on some I was quite surprised myself:

1) electrostatic pummeler - He gains +X/+X where (x) is its power. That means that until the end of the turn his power and toughness are basically going to DOUBLE until the end of that turn for only three energy. This is where the fabrication module and the dynavolt tower are going to come into play along with the consulate turret. The turret taps, gives you energy, this triggers the fabrication module which adds a +1/+1 counter to your creature. and as you're playing your spells such as highspire infusion you can buff your creature even more with more +x/+x and +1/+1 counters. This one creature can get insanely big if you budget your mana right.

2) As far as adjusting things in your deck goes I think you should cut the heroic intervention down to 2x copies, cut both the bristling hydra and your longtusk cub both down to 3x copies each to make room for both of your consulate turrets. Lastly if you sideboard the woodweaver's knot for the highspire infusions that you need it'll be looking good.

The main question that you need to always be asking yourself is this: How often do I want to use this card? That question is important because depending on the combos you're trying to play off of (such as with your architect of the untamed and your swell of growth), that's a combo in of itself that will be good for mana ramping. What do you think so far?

I really like where this is going and appreciate everyone's notes and thoughts.

I am leaning towards completely cutting the Heroic Intervention in favor of Highspire Infusion.

Sideboard Woodweaver's Puzzleknot, drop the one bristling hydra and longtusk cub, per your suggestion. That leaves open two spots for fabrication module and two for consulate turret.

Or, I could cut two lands in place of dropping the Woodweaver's or bristling hydra and longtusk cub. Thoughts

The damage from Dynavolt Tower is too low for the cost, and if you take it out, you can worry less about having instants and sorceries and use cards that further the rest of the deck rather than taking up space to feed one card that's mediocre at best

Thank you for explaining. As I am learning and trying to figure out the process, I really appreciate knowing the reasoning behind some of the suggestions. I am not sold on completely removing the Dynavolt Tower just yet, but I see what you are getting at. I am not bothered by devoting a little more instants to my build to feed the tower.

38
Not necessarily. Highspire infusion is an instant that gives a power boost, gives you two energy, AND it only costs 2 mana to play. Ornamental courage an untap a creature AND give it a power boost for only 1 mana. Commencement of festivities would be a good life saver and can help you through the mid and/or late game. No spell is without it's purpose in a deck. You just have to see the synergies of those cards and work out the plans. Fabrication module and dynavolt tower would work wonders together because your spells that are instants and sorcery spells would give energy which would then give you +1/+11 counters. This sounds like a good strategy to me.

This! This is what I was going for. The synergy between green and energy. So, looking at my deck this is what I was considering now with your very helpful suggestions.

Replace Heroic Intervention with Highspire Infusion

How would you recommend working in the consulate turret and fabrication module? I was considering dropping 4 forests and doing 2 each or dropping the 2 Woodweaver's Puzzleknot and 2 forests.

I like the idea of Aetherwind Basker, particularly if I am going to keep Aetherworks Marvel. That being said, I have largely decided to drop it from the deck as it doesn't really feel like it has a place. Not without adding some blue and being able to fix up my library. Which, especially as my first custom standard deck, I kinda wanted to keep mono color and relatively simplistic at heart.

I am thinking, ditch Haze of Pollen and replace them with Swell of Growth. Gives me some combat flexibility and a potential land bonus. Plus, it still feeds the Dynavolt Tower. Which, I am gathering some folks are suggesting I should shy away from, but I am not entirely sure why. I see it as adding energy and damage to the table at a relatively low cost.

Thank you again everyone for the feedback!

40
What if I replaced Haze of Pollen with Pulse of Murasa?

41
I mean, I guess I'm not dead set on Standard. I would like to keep it Standard because of some of the balance and challenge it brings. The main person I play with is far deeper than I am (its been about 12 years since I played about two months ago). It is fun to constantly be flung around by his Vintage Format decks that I can't afford, but I also like to make him saddle up to Standard game from time to time.

42
You're deck runs 24 land. With that much land you don't need four Attune with Aether. I would switch 2 off those for two more Woodweaver's Puzzleknot. IMO Haze of Pollen doesn't fit very well, I'd have to look up some stuff before I give any potential replacements though.

Haze of Pollen was chosen as a bit of protection, but also because I wanted another set of instants to help feed the Dynavolt Tower. I am certainly not set on them, but I would like to keep feeding the Dynavolt. Unless you think I am overly concerned with that.

Deck: Untitled Deck
This is the ramp that I use in my deck

I probably should have mentioned that I want to keep to Standard for this one.

Thank you. I appreciate the quick feedback. I was debating Aetherworks Marvel. What about the Dynavolt Tower and 2 Woodweaver's Puzzleknot?
