A deck that focuses around being as disruptive to my opponent as possible Spells on a stick (Isochron Scepter) and other forms of countermagic are used to accomplish this. All of this is a stall tactic to give either Managorger Hydra or my token generators (Bitterblossom and Young Pyromancer) time to build up and push for the win.

A deck that wants to get Managorger Hydra out early via hard cast or Eldritch Evolution. With him in play you are free so sit back and frustrate your opponents with counterspells whist they watch him grow. Then when the time is right you slap Spirit Mantle and/or Alpha Authority and swing for victory:)

- Added Mikaeus, the Lunarch as a splash for counter production
- Removed Simic Ascendancy (it inspired me to make this deck but just isn't practical)
- Added Bred for the Hunt for draw power.

Using Simic Ascendancy as a build around I came up with an aggro-control counter deck which focuses around building up a small amount of large creatures. A variety of cantrips serve as both ambushes and as a stall tactic for Simic Ascendancy's win con.
