Deck Reviews / The Beastie Boy

Struggling to close this one out. I'm at 99 cards, I have a few in the maybe board. It's got a pretty consistent game plan.

I'm a big fan of Sun Tzu's "A bushel of my enemy's grain is worth ten of my own" and I tried to emphasize the theft from the board rather than the graveyard, but it might be a good idea in case people just stop playing creatures. What do you guys think? What would you add or remove?

Commander Discussion / Re: What's your "Pet Deck" in EDH?
« le: Mai 21, 2019, 06:49:58 pm »
Was Grand Arbiter. Back when I was so innocent and didn't understand how much people hated taxes and how awful Azorius is at finding Win-Cons.
The whole deck was based around building a disgustingly fortified board state to tax 7 mana and 2 life per attacking creature, finding Clone Legion or something, and hopefully ending the game before I milled myself out.
Now I know that sounds like the most toxic thing ever, and I was absolutely targeted into the ground every game with good reason, but in my defense my first commander game I had brought a budget Merfolk Tribal deck to a six player EDH game where people were running- Elesh Norn, Infinite Elves Rhys, Omnath Locus of Mana, Shirei Shizo's Caretaker, and the last was like Kiki-Jiki or something.
In essence, I took a water gun to a flamethrower fight, "I play a merfolk and pass" 30 minutes later "I play a merfolk and pass". So I assumed that's just how commander was, and I spent months crafting a sinister deck that would DEFINITELY let me play magic. It just didn't let anyone else play, so it has been heavily redesigned with Daxos of Meletis, but alas it is boring.

Right now my pet deck is Melek, Izzet Paragon.

My thoughts are that it is a little slow and lacks synergy.

Because it's a little slow, I would sub Essence Extraction for Sovereign's bite or Chastise, just because you are a little light on removal.
Maybe 1 crested Sunmare and add another Pridemate. I would pull Odric outright and just replace him with another lifelink creature. Your synergy is lifelink, but he's more likely to give your guys flying.
I'd sub Secure the Wastes with Sworn Companions maybe?
Sub Tithe Taker with Grand Abolisher.

Blind Obedience is really strong, you might even sideboard a Loxodon Gatekeeper if your opponent is running a slower deck.

Deckstats Feedback / Filter by cards owned?

Is there a way to filter decks by amount or percentage of cards that appear in my collection?

From my experience, decks like this can benefit from a winter orb or Hokori Dust Drinker. A lot of what you have is fairly cheap, but you can be quickly overwhelmed by an opponent who builds up a sufficient land base and has pocket-combos.
Untap limiters GREATLY impede progress of something like a fatty deck, and can even make something like a board wipe 2 or 3 turns off.

Hey all! I just need to cut a little bit of fat off of my Augustin deck, the theme is pillow fort- inhibit what the other players can do to my while I pursue alternate win conditions. Planning for a multiplayer game with probably 5-6 of us with at least one playing Atraxa and another playing Jodah.
