General Magic / Rules Question: Berserker‘s frenzy
« en: Agosto 08, 2021, 01:00:43 pm »
The new edition arrived and we had a heated discussion about Berserker's Frenzy

So now I have some questions about the legality of decisions I have to make a „roller“ of the dice, the freedom of the defending player to block with additional blockers when the attacking player rolls 1-14 and also about when to announce targets for the outcome of the dice roll. I will part the questions.

1.   When rolling 1-14 and deciding that “n=2“ creatures must block, does this lock the number of blocking creatures to the number of 2 as stated in the card or does the defending player have the „freedom“ to declare additional blockers?
I would read it as the player of Berserker's frenzy does decide on the number and that this decision is a locked parameter „n“. A friend of mine does read „n“ as a minimum of blockers and is under the assumption that he may declare additional blockers (n=2+x).

2.   When rolling 1-14. Does this only limit the decision about the number of blocking creatures or does the roller of the dice have to declare which creature must block when deciding on the number or blockers?

3.   When to announce the blockers as i play out Berserker's frenzy?
Do i have to decide the block before rolling the dice or after rolling?

I’m also thankful for you linking me to useful information. I searched for myself first but did not find anything useful.
In case the question is not clear, I will try to describe the question with other words.

(Non native speaker but posting it in the english speaking forum was advised)

Thank you
