It's all about playing small, but efficient threats, backed with the some of the most efficient removal modern has to offer.

Kird Ape and Loam Lion are 1/1s for 1, but that never happens and are consistently 2/3s. This is very powerful as playing these on turn one, and then beating in every turn for 2 is strong. Wild Nacatl is extremely powerful, and is a 3/3 for 1 every time it is played. It's one of Magic's greatest one drops, and it was so good, that it was banned for a while.  Goblin Guide is amazing, having a 2/2 haster for 1 is insanely powerful. Lastly we have Qasali Pridemage, which has exalted meaning it pumps our attacker. Attacking with a 4/4 Wild Nacatl on turn 2, after our opponent shocked themselves, is gonna be hard to come back from. Also, it reads "1, Sacrifice to counter Splinter Twin" which is very useful.

Our non-creature spells are equally as efficient: Path to Exile allows us to remove any creatures that get to big for our burn, namely Siege Rhino. Lightning Bolt is an obvious inclusion, as it Lightning Helix, which allows us to gain life.

Experiment One is similar to Wild Nacatl, except we have to work a bit harder to get, but everything in the deck minus the Qasali Pridmage and the Goblin Guides evolve it at least twice. Speaking of Goblin Guide, having a 2/2 haster for 1 is insanely powerful. lastly we have Qasali Pridemage, which has exalted meaning it pumps our attacker. Attacking with a 4/4 Wild Nacatl on turn 2, after our opponent shocked themselves, is gonna be hard to come back from. Also, it reads "1, Sacrifice to counter Splinter Twin" which is very useful.

Boros Charm allows us to save our creatures from an abrupt decay or a maelstrom pulse, and also allows us to mega bolt, or close out a game much quicker than normal with double strike.

Jund Flamespeaker

Jund Midrange with one of my favourite, and most underrated cards: Prophetic Flamespeaker.

The deck aims to create a lot of value trades, such as Thoughtseize and Inquizition of Kozilek on our opponents, to deny them of cards. We play value creatures like Tarmogoyf and Dark Confidant.

Temur Aggro

The deck that I will be playing when Dragons of Tarkir becomes legal. There are a couple of strong cards to include. Sarkhan Unbroken provides card advantage which is something the deck severely lacked before, and Atarka's Command is a very versatile card.

Just a simple aggro deck, play guys, swing. Knuckleblade is pretty good. Stubborn denial is pretty good against control, as is Surrak. The ramp from the mana dorks often means you can cast Craters Claw for 7-10 dmage most of the time, and can close out the game really easily.

UWR Geist

This is a tempo deck, built around Geist of Saint Traft. Play early threats like Monastery Swiftspear, which gets prowess triggers, and can be attacking for quite a bit. Young Pyromancer makes lots of tokens, which can slow down the opponents big things for a while. The control aspect of the deck comes in the form of counter spells like Remand, and Mana Leak. 4 Lightning Bolt...duh. Lightning Helix does the same and also gains us 3 life. Snapcaster Mage allows us to get back any of the spells we have already cast: Lightning Bolt, Snapcaster Mage, Lightning Bolt is a pretty good combo, plus the mage stays and he can chump after we have used him.

A plus to the deck is that you very rarely have to mulligan, as you can play tempo until you get your beaters down, or just go full out aggro.

My friend suggested running Delver of Secrets in the deck, however this is actually a bad idea, because when you look at the statistics, if you replaced the Young Pyromancers for Delvers, and you had 3 lands, and 2 other spells, which aren't creatures, then the chance of having a spell on top is less than 50% which is not good enough. Also Brainstorm and Ponder are not modern legal so that makes Delver worse as well.
