Random discussion question: With jund being so rampant in the current (overall) modern meta is affinity still a viable/competitive deck in the format?

Rakdos Aggro

Something I'm tinkering with...it seems viable. Unfortunately the common aspect both "helps" and hurts you since I'd like to put rakdos cacklers in it.

I play RG breach which has a real bad matchup against infect the only times I've won were because of blood moon or chalice, and i'm not going to mulligan a search for tommorow, farseek, breach, emrakul hand just to get one of those pieces. Your point is exactly why I want to beat infect, yes melira is a silver bullet but the deck does have bad match ups and multiple win cons like RG breach which I like.

My store's meta is Utron, infect, Grixis, and affinity. So I have no idea what does well against all those.

Abzan CoCo

Hoping that playing abzan coco can help get me over that infect hurdle while winning a few other games during the process.

colossus affinity

cheap metalwork colossus, with a unique back up strategy of going infinite, sort of, with virtuoso (although I definitely want to take some things out to up the reliability of that working).

BW control

I got inspired today while playing Kambal in limited, he can easily win you a game alone. Combining him with other good black white control cards in standard just seems logical. I'm not a control player generally speaking but let me know what you think, seems good to me.

Madcap scapeshift

Just something I've been playing around with. The mana ramp suite, allows you reliably cast Madcap Experiment on turn 3, and can hard cast Platinum Emperion in the late game, and can use the extra time to set up a Valakut kill. Infect is bad match up though, hence melira in the sideboard, but probably should a runa summoner's pact or something to reliably get her.

GW aggro

aggressive punch in for damage and throw +1/+1 counters on stuff. A non-thinking man's deck.
