Deck Comments / Re: Burn Control - RED BLACK - Comments

This is very good. I recommend this deck to anyone who knows how to play with a deck that uses spells to destroy early game, then use backup creatures to finish off the opponent late game.

That's pretty much the idea/strategy that is working well.

Actually it would be worth having. Reason being, even if your opponent has an indestructible creature on the field you could always distribute the damage to the opponent instead. It's like trample but by paper cuts to the player.

Got it! Nice... I think I'll let on the sideboard... Thanks for the help!

Thorncaster Sliver can give more damage if you need it

I already have leeching sliver, don't think another one with more mana cost is necessary... Or do you man by its power?

Ok!
If I get mana trouble I will dig into the suggestions!

Thabks a lot

It's fine man. Cards such as chain reaction, heartess hidetsugu appear not to be printed in any modern legal sets. Also as far as the dealing with lots of creatures, you should focus the deck on that aspect. Use the planeswalkers to ENHANCE the quality of the deck rather than being the driving force behind it. This way your deck functions and can win even if you never play them.

Ok! Actually, some games I Win before the walkers enter the game!

Yes, it's been nice. Sometimes some exiles delay a little my game, but I use to deal with it nicely.

And gemhide helps speeding up the gane and saving the mana base.

I love the fact they have effects that improve the gameplay. The changes I made turned the deck faster. I know the mana base is not the best one, but I don't get enough money availabe to afford... The same about aether vial...

Just a few pointers that I want to give you:

1) Any card that's not modern legal" can't be used in a modern tournament unless it was printed in an older set. But I'm guessing that this is a casual play deck so lets not sweat that.

2) For B/R control I recommend looking at the Black and Red creature/spells from return to Ravnica and from the shards of Alara block. There's a pretty hefty amount of cards to choose from that can really make playing against others interesting.

3) besides the CONTROL BURN, what is your main deck focus and what do you enjoy doing the most with this deck?

Well, the last time I checked all the cards were modern... Is there any of them that isn't?!?!

I'll take a look at the cards you said later. At first, the deck was being used for usual/fun game, and I saw it was promising (and fun to play), só I started to improve it. Of course it is not a deck for tournaments, but it generally does some harm... Sometimes I get in trouble against great amounts of creatures...

The idea of the deck is killing/destroying/delaying the opponents game until planeswalkers and in game, só I protect them and deal massive damage.

As I Said, I like to play with the deck although it is not very consistent.

If you have any ideas of cards I could change tô improve the deck...

Btw, thanks fot the help and sorry if bad english!

I updated some changes... I think it got quicker now!
Maybe next month I can afford one or two aether vial...

if you want to have a competitive sliver then you need (for me) at least these cards ; 4X cavern of souls / 4X Æther Vial / 3X or 4X Diffusion Sliver / galender sliver only 4X
since you have a version with Pentacolor you do not need the Mutavault.
and more and I think you should remove large pieces like ;
Essence Sliver (Syphon Sliver it's better)
Might Sliver (only lord at the cost 2 or 3  Predatory Sliver / Sedge Sliver / Sinew Sliver)
Akroma's Memorial
Bonesplitter Sliver
generally Sliver and beautiful thanks to its incredible variety , having said that these my advice is just the basis of a good deck for the rest do as you see fit .
The only advice I give you is to select sliver cheap to be faster to close ( except for Pentacolor that are closing guarantees ) .

I Think I can change might and bonesplitter for predatory and sedge, so. And essence for syphon. This would speed up.

About cavern of souls and aether vial, they are kinda out of the budget  :( :-\

About Akroma's memorial, I kinda love the card hahaha, I think the combination of it and domri's emblem quite nice  ;D ;)

The mana distribution for this deck seems to be a little off in some places. Also running a deck primarily based off of creatures, you might want to have more than 20 lands in your deck. Just a word of advice.

I generally don't have mana problems... Just when I get one or two turns without lands and/or gemhide sliver

10
but you want a bunch forfun or bugget deck?

Ooops, I just noticed the deck is for modern so a lot of things I said are worthless :(

At first it was for fun, but I started to play in a more serious way. So that is the reason my base mana is not very well... O wasn't willing to spend a lot of money of lands, but now I see it is kinda necessary, although generally don't run out of mana.

What would you change?
