Unfortunately, Crypt Ghast requires white mana so it would not be legal to use in a red/black deck

The white/black symbol is in the extort reminder, so I believe it does not count?
I check this here https://www.mtgsalvation.com/forums/the-game/commander-edh/576239-mono-black-edh-crypt-ghast, and I assumed it was correct (if it is legal in mono-black, why couldn't it be in red-black ?).
