White Devotion

Zur the Enchanter

Hallo,

Revision that mainly focusses on a solid base and a nice overview for a sideboard.

GWR: Superfriends

Simple but efficient. Do not screw the manabase. In Standard, there is enough time to either draw Deploy of the Gatewatch or Oath of Nissa. And even without the red planeswalkers, your white and green planeswalker bring sufficient power to the board to stall it until the red ones arrive.

Addition: Mana cost for planeswalkers is calculated with Oath of Ajani in play.

BW: Humans and Hardened Scales

- summon cheap creatures that all have +1/+1 counter synergies and buff themselves quickly

- additionally buff your creatures with several enchantments and a planeswalker

- profit from an unbelievably effective card draw due to your creatures with +1/+1 counters

B/G Hardened Scales

Is this viable in Frontier? Theoretical testing says yes, now I need your opinions!

This is a try for a super cheap FNM deck. Please comment and help me to improve the deck.

This is a try for a rather competetive deck that is relatively cheap but also powerful with a sideboard that answers most of the current meta game threats. Please comment and help me to improve the deck.

Sideboard is still being worked on.

Thoughts I torment my small brain with:

Number of lands: 19 green sources should be sufficient for Nissa, Voice of Zendikar. 16 red sources should be sufficient for Oath of Chandra. 4 copies of Oath of Nissa should do the job for Gideon, Ally of Zendikar. I am still unhappy with the mana basis, because the dual colored lands enter the battlefield tapped too often. I have to give this some thoughts this evening. Maybe I even include some lands which produce white mana?

Second Harvest: I don't know if it really is necessary to play four copies although it invites to do so. It can help to incredibly increase your number of tokens for just 4 mana. Yet, it is likely to be casted around turn 6, so three copies should be sufficient, perhaps only two will prove playable? This offers more room for removal, card drawal or creatures.

Sylvan Scrying: It is a valuable card, especially to get the non-basics out of your library into your hand. Are four of them necessary? I do not think so, as there already are two copies of Westvale Abbey in the deck and Oath of Nissa can also help to find the land you need.

At the moment two cards can be played and the Maybeboard offers examples of those cards that are in my favour at the moment, but perhaps I have forgotten something?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

RG: Superfriends and Tokens

Please help me to improve the deck!

Sideboard is being worked on.

Second Harvest really necessary? Perhaps some quick removal like Lightning Axe or cheap creatures to block are better ideas.

Please, help me to decide.

BW: Control | Sorin and Gideon [post-rotation]

First thoughts on a black and white control deck post-rotation. Because there is no meta-game for post-rotation, this is only an elaborated guess. It has to be tested if it can stand its ground versus the presently popular black/red aggro decks (check Sideboard for potential answers) or other brews that come up with Shadows over Innistrad.

Please share your ideas with me.

If you intend to play this deck in Standard, then you only have four days left as with the 8th of April, Khans of Tarkir and Fate Reforged will rotate out while Shadows over Innistrad will rotate in. As you play quite a lot of cards from FRF, you should reconsider your whole brew.

Regards
