salmercker: That was in reference to the the deck without the blue and black. It has 23 mana, which seems high to me (would you disagree?), and its most expensive creature has mana cost of 7, so the cards that get mana of any color seem like they could be taking space away from putting more powerful cards in, especially since I only need red and green. I do have one Verdant Haven in these decks, which is similar to Fertile Ground, although maybe the added +2 life isn't worth the added cost.

If you think either deck could use more Fertile Grounds, what would you recommend they replace?

Thanks for your help!

Here's the deck with only red and green cards. I'm wondering if it's worth keeping all the cards that pull mana from the deck, like Rampant Growth at this point. Maybe I should replace them?

Thanks ladof! I really wanted to keep Ruthless Deathfang in there with my blue/black, and maybe combo it with some more Dragon Whelps). This was an experiment to make a deck that's not constrained by color, which granted may not be a very good idea, although this doesn't have to be a pro-level deck for me to be satisfied with it. From only playing the deck a few times, it seemed like green was able to both conjure up enough "manna of any color" and "search your library for a basic land card" to suffice the blue/black needs. But I'll take your advice and fork the deck to see what I can do with only red and green.

You're right this is mostly built off cards I actually own, but I have bought some cards to go in here, and might be willing to purchase others if you had suggestions. For example, I'm considering adding Haven of the Spirit Dragon.

I'm a new deck builder, and found a decent number of dragons in my collection, so I tried to make an all-but-white dragon deck. I don't think it's horrible, (mostly thanks to my friend's recommendations), but I'm looking for further suggestions. I'd especially like to get it down to only 60 cards (it's currently at 73), because that seems like the norm. As well, if you have suggestions on better cards to add to it, I'd really appreciate it.
When you write your recommendations, please detail your thought process as much as possible: I'm trying to understand to make these analyses on my own, so understanding your logic is important to me.
Thanks for everything!
