New Primers / [Primer] Utopian Draconom(wall)icon (Casual EDH)
« on: January 07, 2023, 02:51:51 am »
This is my first Primer for my The Ur-Dragon EDH deck, combined with Defenders, "Dragon Phalanx" and Bolster, designed for casual EDH play. I wanted to make it fun, original and interesting to other people. I am open to suggestions and criticism in order to make this Primer better.

Deck Reviews / [Modern] Show a Sliver deck
« on: December 18, 2021, 11:30:33 pm »
Inspired, by the other topic by Sylvester12, I decided to invite those of you who are Sliver fans to possibly show such a deck? These are my Naya Offspring Slivers.
Mostly Time Spiral and Magic 2011 with few from Modern Horizons especially re-released Cloudshredder Sliver. Would you show your Sliver decks? Possibly not the First Sliver 5-coloured Premium Slivers, but fewer colors if you have. For me the Red, Green and White Slivers are the most menacing, hence the Two Headed Sliver for this Tribe. Actually my deck is in working mode, since I hesitate on the supporting spells. What other spells to put beside Slivers? Interesting question. You can contribute probably, since I am undecided at the moment. Got 2 stars, which is very honorable, but I am bit undecided. Should I make room for Poultice Sliver? I'd like to keep the budget the same.

Could I not have received so many downvotes? It's such blow on my ranking. I always thought deathtouch was concerning only combat damage. I'm wrong. I'm sorry. Don't hammer me so much with downvotes on stated opinion. Albeit that I praise more the stars on decks especially on my Tribals.

Deck Reviews / [Modern] Boros Angel Battalion
« on: April 12, 2020, 07:28:09 pm »
https://deckstats.net/decks/9282/44061-boros-angel-batallion/
An Angel deck with obvious Batallion and Aurelia mark, that is from Avacyn and Ravnica. The only complaint is that there are not many good 3-mana angels (apart from Angel of Vitality) so on 3rd round usually have to put Segovian Angel. It is a bit cheaper since I put the cards 3 or 4 years ago. Although a bit slower, I am not cutting from the deck at all. Lyra Dawnbringer a mustwish from Dominaria, I sucessfully bought it by a local friendly boy in Bulgaria, who was selling cards. Amazing hit and very happy to have gotten it so cheap. It's as of latest with Core Set 2020. Serra the Benevolent is in process to be found, it's around 5€, but Archangel of Thune is in a "dream list" in years. Basically, I consider her "Skirmisher" as Tribal flavour and art, but she is very expensive going around thrice as much: 15€ in Card Market and I hope to find it cardinally eventually speaking of year 2020 as this deck is 7 years old and this Skirmisher Batallion fine deck needs such fine Angel card with great stats otherwise. Thanks for the stars. Give another or take a look at my other decks.
Kind regards,
Chavdar

Deck Reviews / [Modern] Dinosaurion Kolindontium

Dinosaurion Kolindontium
Come review or like my deck, people. It's very positive impression this last year. I bought "Huatli, Dinosaur Knight" precon and built on it. Decided I don't need more than 20 dinos and up to 8-9 so called by me "phalanx". Some Dinosaur spells. 3 versions of 1 Tribal planeswalker and I think I am done. Ripjaw Raptor is the recend edition and something I found budget up untill in May, otherwise since April or August last year, I am mostly done with the deck, played in club, several games found miscard, but some won. I think it's pleasurable addition to my Tribal gallery. Come like it, review it or do the same to other decks in my gallery. ;)

Deck Reviews / [EDH / Commander] Adaptive Enchantment
« on: February 18, 2019, 05:50:35 pm »
Adaptive Enchantment
My version of such a deck. I ditched out of Kruphix element and put Sovereigns of Lost Alara, Umbra Mystic, Kor Spiritdancer, Indrik Umbra, Witchbane Orb and several others like Krond the Dawn-Clad and Humbler of Mortals. It is present for my passed recently last Birthday and I decided to get rid off the Instants and play all sorceries, enchantments, auras and such minded flavourly creatues. Retether is probably the only missing from the recent orders. I am extremely happy and grateful to my friends, as it is twice the price card by card to get it. It's my only 2nd Commander as I am mainly Tribal Modern player. I hope you wil like it for my interpretation.

Deck Reviews / [Modern] Aurelia-Avacyn Angels
« on: April 08, 2018, 11:50:21 pm »
Aurelia-Avacyn Angels. It is lifelink deck. I would love you to share your opinion, friends. I made mostly tribal ideas, but this is one of my most expensive and meaningful projects. I would love to hear your opinion. Recent Lyra Dawnbriger would also be added, but personally at the moment I am a bit out of money and hope for more cardinal lucrative times. Here in Bulgaria, there is Tolenprive on Education and professional bachelors aren't given which prevents me... or prevented me to create even more lucrative projects as Treefolks and Merfolks. Nonetheless, the Angel Girls are pretty big deal, so I hope you will like them. Have a look at my other decks and feel free to like them. I would like if you share opinions on them if you want. Recent projects are €15 zoo-projects and not so meaningful, but I tried to put a tribal tinge on the "zoo-side" as well. Feel free to comment on them as well.

Deck Reviews / [EDH / Commander] Dragon Defender Utopia

Dragon Defender Utopia
Give a star or review if you want. It is my first Commander deck as I am Tribal-player for years. I think and with Iconic Masters coming on and the last Commander 2017, it is really coming as a realisation. On parts I have ordered the cards. Yet it has to be tested. Look at my other decks if you want, friends, I rarely post a review request, just because I have so many decks. But with this Commander deck, I would really like to advertise my whole experience so far with Magic: The Gathering in so many combinations and the realisation of making them. Thank you very much, beforehand.

Deck Reviews / [Modern] Defensive Norma
« on: November 12, 2016, 11:00:03 pm »
Defensive Norma of Poweregrana is deck made entirely by defenders. It is very, very pleasent deck and my girlfried wanted to play it against my Batallion Trigger Soldiers and she beat me. Check it out. Good wall and defender cards are usually from all colours as Perimeter Captain, Axebane Guardian, Vent Sentinel and Assault Formation. I gave it also bolster with Echoes of the Kin Tree and trample with Tuskguard Captain. I think there should be more variety and defender decks can be 4 or 5-colour since the defenders primarily are of these colours. However I don't think Wall of Denial is worthy because there aren't so many good blue defenders beside it to be worth put in only, and it will make casting it, more difficult. Anyways, check it out, as well as my other Tribal combinations, if you want fellas, and I will be happy to check yours, since I am all Tribalestin and if you are such, I can get inspired by yours combinations too! :) :o
Kindest regards and respect: Chavdar

Deck Reviews / [Modern]Dragons and Goblins
« on: April 26, 2016, 11:00:46 pm »
Hello. Dragon Goblin Horde. I bought Duel Decks: Knights vs. Dragons. So, while the Knight Deck was in Modern I was not permitted to use the Dragons because of the Dragonspeaker Shaman, Seething Song and several of the Dragons were legacy. I got Balefire Dragon, Utvara Hellkite and with Tarkir, I decided to use the Fate Reforged Atarka, World Render, with corresponding green Sarkhan Vol. The problem is that I have won quite good matches with the deck, but I still think: 1 Infernal Plunge I cut and put the Seething Song? Why I am not permitted to use it, since it is sincerely Dragony flavoured?
This piller of fire:

You can easily label it as a legacy thing, but why this fantastic Seething Song, is not permitted strictly for Dragon Modern decks, since on tours and challenges, judges need to know the deck of the contestants? Why can't I use it in a Dragon Modern deck?

Deck Reviews / [Modern] Dragons and Goblins
« on: October 17, 2015, 12:31:34 am »
I made a deck, growing from "Duel Decks: Knights vs Dragons". The Paladins are here too, but the Dragons grew up from these ones. While here the system doesn't give the alternate images, I also have a Tapped Out account, but my decks there aren't so popular. Here you really like them guys and I am very thankful to you for it. But if you wanna see the alternate images for the Dragons and Goblins Hoard at Tapped Out go Dragonoblins. I don't know why the decks are unpopular, maybe I don't get deckcycle, but here you really appreciate them, and I am very thankful to you guys for this. I try make moderate budgeted Tribal decks or some combinations including several tribes and overall synergy, so it is really honourable to get my decks here liked by you guys. If you really liked my Sea Monsters and my Drakes, go and see the Dragons and Goblins and if you want - give a star. Last night I played 3 dragons, cast  Howl of the Hordе, Infernal Plunge, sacked 3 dragons, 1 of them was Ryusei, the Falling Star and my girlfriend lifelink cats fell down - she plays Catea Enchantea Ajanea Fleecemanea - so I cast Infernal Plunge, and sacked the dragons and got 10 mana - cast Dragonstorm and put 5 dragons on the battlefield - 4 spells casted because of the attack. Amazing deck. If I can hold her Unflinching Courage lifelink, I might stand a chance without life and limmed down on 7. Also it is good with the Browbeat.

Deck Reviews / [Modern] Abzan Defenders

Abzan Wall Defense
It is still work in progress. I have some of the cards. Now it is getting better. Used to have Rolling Stones, but decided against it - better Echoes of the Kin Tree - bolster them. The treefolk Doran, the Siege Tower is too expensive for such a project and no one is willing to give it at the clubs here. So, say something here, so I can update later, please.
Thank you!

General Magic / Card Flavour and Synergy
« on: June 09, 2015, 08:08:39 pm »
I am observing, while I am building two decks: Seaoclock Monsters and Massive Giants, I have been trying to synergize the cards and the meanings and the flavour of them in the way that they will mean something when standing one right to another in the deck. I have been collecting them quite a bit of time. The Monsters, I have played at local clubs and I am very satisfied that the deck is moving, and even if not I am not winning - the beauty of the match, magic and sport is the most important thing to me. Concerning the Giant deck is that actually, most Modern techniques are quite faster than this deck, so I don't play it very much, except from time to time casually to pay honor to these great folks. While I have almost collected all on Lorwyn-Shadowmoor, particularly for them, I wanted to gain the DCI Primeval.

I believe such version of the card should be played artistically, magically and meaningfully in mainly Giants deck, if there are soldiers and players here who still remember this great folks. If you wanna try a Red-Green-White Giants deck and pay these great folks an honour - take this DCI Primeval especially for them. It is bound to be artistically and probably even flavour-wise and why not storically-wise in such a deck. I have great respect for all of your decks, but if you seriously want to try such a deck, take a look at this Primeval and say is not Lorwyn.

I believe there are also other cards like these which are very much related and should be combined by players who wanna play them in a flavour and artistical combination that is meaningful to him. There was a dude at the local club who was rumbling that he is untapping red mana with Kiora's Follower. If we as players don't follow simple synergy, I believe our cards are losing importance as singles and not only money spended on them, but artistic and valuable and even Magical thing to all of us.  ;) I also wanted to pay respect for the Monsters and one follower is the promo card.

Why not all? "She may callherself Kiora, but I believe she is Thassa, the embodiment of the sea and the empress of the depths.". Then why not collecting every meaningful monster and not combine the Zendikar-Alara-Theros into one scroll and see how it goes? Amazing. I recommend it to you to have such a Blue-Green Sea Monster Combination. Even Wrexial, the Risen Deep is just rocking, albeit 1 black, but yet it is Zendikar. I can't imagine such a Simic Sky Swallower played in Tarkir combo, my respect for the set, gave me the best dragons, but is made for Monster Deck.

Sorry to brum out so much, I wanted to say is that we should synergize the decks with love and devotion and that these cards would actually mean something to us as players and Magic users, artistically and significantly, because they will just lose any meaning and even sense and price, not only physical, but spiritual.
Kindest regards to all of you, you have rocking decks!
