Wow this deck already looks awesome and nearly perfect!
The only thing you could work on would be the mana base I guess (if you're willing to buy some duals that come into play untapped).

*bump*

I've recently won a private mtg tournament with this deck (went 4-0-0), had 2 matchups against burn type decks and holy shit- the Sanctifier and StP saved my life more than once with their "heal" abilites.

Removed 2 Halimar Depths and added 2 Islands because most of the time I've found myself having 3 cards (in the worst case 3 lands) on the top of my library that I did not need.

Still- I'd appreciate someone elses thoughts on my deck.

I chose Sorin, Lord of Innistrad.  Without planeswalker removal, he can be a beast. By generating 1/1 lifelinkers he does a very good job protecting himself (and in W/B, you should have plenty of cards to help with that,) and giving all your guys +1/+0 every third turn can generate massive amounts inevitability.  And he's reasonably costed at 4 mana.

I also love Elspeth, but more for her art, lore and ultimate than her real world usability.

Don't underestimate the card advantage machine that's Jace Beleren either.  I think he's undervalued and at $8, a real steal.

And since I apparently love Planeswalkers soooooo much, I can't stop!  Liliana of the Veil is an immense powerhouse in any tight format, (such as Modern.) When you're running in a format like that where every land drop, creature and response matters so much, repeatable saccing and discard is often just too much to handle.  I have more of a hate than a love relationship with her (mostly since I don't have her, so I'm always on the receiving end of that bargain.)

I was going to buy the little Jace and add him in a deck with Sun Titan, could be fun. :)

First - here's your decklist with an optimized layout:

http://deck.tk/8WMN4xvk

Since you wanna play a late game deck I'd suggest that you should play more (mass)removals/counters and a less creature heavy deck. Put in some 4,5 or 6 mana drops like a Sun Titan or a Frost Titan and keep the board clear with counters/removals until you can drop a strong 6/6 or whatever. You could play cards like Holy Day or Feeling of Dread to survive the first turns and than play a Wrath of God / Supreme Verdict on turn 4 (or a Sunblast Angel if you want to - works well with Feeling of Dread or other tap abilities but she wont come down before turn 6 and in most cases you're already dead by then).

To increase the chance of drawing the cards you need you should run more than 1 of each and add drawing/card filtering engines like Ponder , Preordain or Think Twice.

some cards I'd remove or from your deck and why:

Griffin Protector - He's not good even if you somehow manage to drop at least 1 creature each turn, most of the time he's only a 2/3 for 4 mana.

Mind Sculpt / Jace's Phantasm - Mind Sculpts are not good if you're just running 1 Phantasm. Milling your opponent for seven cards isn't getting you anywhere if you can't take advantage out of it except you're running 4 Phantasms or similar cards. Adding 3 Phantasms and 1 Mind Sculpt would be alright.

Odric, Master Tactician - He's only good in a creature heavy deck.

Staff of Nin - Too expensive.

My final conclusion:

- Add more counterspells and removals if you're going to make a late game deck and cut your creature count down to 10 or 12.
- Add more creatures if you want to build an Aggro-Controlish deck (as an example 24 creatures, 14 Spells and 22 Lands)
- Add more card draw (6-8 cards)

You could also check out my U/W Splicer Conrol deck as an example for a Control Deck which can win a game pretty fast sometimes.

http://deckstats.net/decks/3713/13242-u-w-splicer-control?saved=1&lng=de

It is pretty good in 1on1s (I've recently won a private tournament with it, went 4-0-0) but it can also kick ass in multiplayer games (me and my friends are also playing alot of mp games)

Have a nice day + done with editing.

Not bad for a first deck but I think you should run more creatures and less instants/sorceries (like 24 creatures, 15 ins/sorc).
It would also make Massive Raid and Battle Hymn stronger.

-2 Thought Scour
+1 Tamiyo, the Moon Sage
+1 Preordain

I'm thinking of moving the Verdicts to the sideboard to make room for other spells

Title says it all.
I'd pick Tamiyo the Moon Sage because I like to mess with my opponents mana base :D

There are some neat green pump spells like-

Mutagenic Growth, Giant Growth, Vines of Vastwood, Groundswell, Titanic Growth

they combo well with Wild Defiance... and to get through their defense or if you need more protection go for "Apostle's Blessing" - it also pumps your creature with a WD on the board.

and after combat damage just cast Fling.

If you're looking for a site to buy magic cards I'd recommend you to visit https://www.magiccardmarket.eu/
The prices are decent and you'll probably find all the cards you need/want.

Edit: Don't forget to add my nickname to the referral box on the magiccardmarket :P

I think the green split is not necessary because you're only running 5 green cards in your deck.
Maybe you should remove the green ones or add more of them. Also I'd run more than 1 Centaur Healer and remove the Cathedral Sanctifier instead. The Sanctifier wont do much since it's just a 1/1, the Centaur is more of a threat.

Holy moly! You have way too many cards in your deck.
You should first cut it down to 60 cards with 20-23 lands in it and then repost it here- or else you will have a hard time drawing those cards you need to win.
