[pt] Pedidos de Avaliação de Deck / Re: [Modern] Balls of Steel!

Hey misck-red.
I did thought about Kuldotha Forgemaster, and I It would fit perfectly on this deck with some Modular mecanics.
Renowned Weaponsmith is new to me (returned player) and I think it will work wonders.

Balls of Steel!

Hello, guys!

Criticize me :)

I decided to revise the movie Pacifim Rim and it inspired me to make a deck (legal in Modern) with some BIG ROBOTS! But at the same time I wanted to be able to have alternatives to just cast and attack.

I also wanted to keep it in a low budget (100$ aprox.).

Here's How to Play It!

So, the point of the deck is to cast:
- Darksteel Colossus and Blightsteel Colossus

Grab them!
- Fabricate

They will help on casting the big boys!
- Etherium Sculptor
- Foundry Inspector
- Mycosynth Golem
- Vedalken Engeneer
- Palladium Myr
- Hendron Archive (Gets cheaper with Etherium Sculptor + Foundry Inspector)
- Dreamstone Hendron (Gets cheaper with Etherium Sculptor + Foundry Inspector)

After you play them protect them with:
- Padeem, Consul of Innovation
- Mana Leak

Make coopies!
- Sculpting Steel

End the game with
- Bosh, Iron Golem (sacrifice your Colossus + copies)

This is it! I hope you liked it! ;)

Witchcraft is Fundamental!

Hello everyone!

I'm open for suggestions!

I wanted to build a Modern deck (with a rather low budget) where I could get some benefit from using a full load of instants and sorcery.

It needs to be tested.

This decks' creatures are related to the instant and sorcery spells you use, except for Mantis Rider. All of them are cheap to drop into the battlefield :)

- A combo I really wanted to include is the Young Pyromancer and Descent of the Dragons = so many dragons!
- Spellheart Chimera only benefits from your use of instants and sorcery. (should I add Aquous Form to the deck?)
- Soulfire Grand Master helps you get life points and allows you to re-use a spell :D

As for the Sorcery and Instant spells:

- Boros Charms is so flexible!
- Kill Shot helps you to spare your damage spells to hit your opponent.
- Lightning Bolt and Lightning Helix are the "Aim and Fire!" of the deck.
- Mana Leak, counterspell.
- Path to Exile to combo with Young Pyromancer if you lack a certain mana.

I guess that's it.
Cheers!

Smells Like Fungus Spirit!

Hello guys.
So, this has been my fav color combo and I, as a returned player, I'm making some experimenting befour I buy the singles for the deck.

Help to perfect the deck is appreciated! :)

I'll summarize the deck with this example:
- Lotleth Troll; Varolz, the Scar-Scripted; Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord - On the Battlefield
- Pitiless Lord; Sangrophage; Death's shadow- On your Hand
Combo:
Discard (for exemple) Death's Shadow -> +1/+1 on Lotleth Troll
-> Use Varolz, the Scar-Sripted to exile Death's Shadow and put 13x +1/+1 on Lotleth Troll
-> Attack with Lotleth Troll (now a 15/14 with Trample)
-> Use Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord to sacrifice Lotleth Troll and deal 15 damage to your opponent.
-> If you have Corpsejack Menace on the battlefield double que +1/+1 counters.

As for the other cards:
- Death's Shadow, Pitiless Horde and Sangrophage will be used as "fuel" to the combo above;
- Corpsejack Menace works as steroids, as do Death's Shadow;
- Macabre Waltz can help on returning a creature and discard it again to add a counter +1/+1 on the Lotleth Troll.
- Whip of Erebos and Feed the Clan can provide some life points that were lost while building up the combo.
- Maelstrom Pulse as a precaution, while you're build your game.

[pt] Pedidos de Avaliação de Deck / [Modern] 6-Pack-Rack

6-Pack-Rack

I recently returned to magic and decided to build a deck of this kind to have fun. I wanted a Modern deck, but one that's affordable. This has a mid price ranged deck (?) that I want to get into.
I want to be criticized and to recieve feedback about this. I appreciate your attention.

The base of this deck is to leave your opponent handless (cards :P) and dealing damage with that.

- Megrim and Liliana's Caress will aid on gathering dmg from discarding, while The Rack and Shrieking Affliction gives your handless opponent a bad time, making him loose his head over the game, sometimes...

- As for creatures, Abyssal Nocturnus is a cheap drop down with some great pros on this deck; Sangromancer also benifits you, lending some life points; Hypnotic Specter is there for its mana cost, flying and discard ability... Though I think it can be replaced by a more effective card (help on this!).

- Liliana Vess is the plainswalker I choose for this deck duo to its price and cool hability. By 8 points your opponent have a lots of discarded creatures in the graveyard. While reaching that: discard, discard, discard...

- Sorcery: Mostly discard making cards though I decided to give a room for land destruction card to make the game even harder for your opponent.

- Quest for the Nihil Stone is a card with some influence on this deck. I decided to give it a go.

I'd appreciate some help on a sideboard for this :)

Bring me the critics!
Cheers!

Deck Reviews / Re: Discard, Draw, Die (Need Advice, Please) - Comments

Hello there!
I'm sorry about the wrong tag but I'm still learning more about the formats out there.

I had Windfall in the deck but I took it out for legality issues, for it has been banned and is restricted in some formats. Got Wheel and Deal in its place (btw, do you guys know any card with a close effect to these two?)

I appreciate your help, guys.
Cheers!

Discard, Draw, Die (Need Advice, Please)

Hi guys!
I'm a returned player after almost 8 years away from MTG.
I've been trying to create a deck with the purpose of making the oponent discard and draw cards, being damaged everytime he or she does so. Since I've just returned I don't know much about the cards out there and I was hoping that you guys could give me some feedback about this deck project of mine! I've never tryed this deck nor I have any of the cards.
From what you can tell, all the cards serve the purpose above explained, exept Dark Ritual, which is there to aid on the slow game (mostly of the cards cost 3 or more). A deck spinning arrounf Liliana's Caress, Underworld Dreams and Fate Unreaver as source of damage, while compensating with some other stuff like Abyssal Nocturnus and Sangromancer.
I've also added some card to the Sideboard that I though be of help.
I appreciate your help!
Cheers!
