Hello Gilflok. I tried not to go into the tribal theme as I wasn't all that interested in it. I tried to have a big mana theme with a subtheme of +1 counters (hence why Brokkos is here since he overwrites base power). I would love to see a hydra tribal deck, however!

RayStorm7, I updated the card it is Migratory Greathorn, it was from ikoria when it was spoiled and I assumed that deckstats would auto-update that, but whatever. Thanks for the heads up.

Temaal, thank you for the suggestion, but that's not what I'm looking for. I appreciate the thoughtful comment. I hope you have a good day, sir.

Drannel, I was debating the card I figure most of the things in there I have anyways so it is too minor of an effect for 7 mana, the only real reason would to be for the pro red and black and/or trample.

Yeah, I’m aware it’s banned. I showed it to my playgroup and they said they’re cool as long as I’m not running hatebears / stax.

Just a heads up, you have the wrong Heliod. This isn't the Theros Heliod.

Chainer, Nightmare Adept is really cool and definitely is strong. Powerful budget cards with him are (but not limited to) lightning skelemental, plaguecrafter, and Greel, Mind Raker.

(I’ll be using the commander format as an example for explanation)(Skip to 2nd paragraph for 60 card formats like Modern, Legacy, and Pioneer) Try to start with a commander that doesn’t seem complicated. Try something like one of the Niv-Mizzets. They’re simple, yet very effective. Then, you want to establish a way to win the game, it doesn’t have to be going infinite, but simply a way that works. You can do 1 of 2 things, you can either win suddenly or win incrementally (slowly throughout the game), both have their pros and cons. A card like Torbran uses red burn spells to win through via damage or red creatures to buff up, both giving incremental damage. While a card like “Tasigur, Golden Fang” wins via combos and ‘out of nowhere’. Combos tend to be less liked in the community, but are still fairly common to come across and widely accepted. You have to analyze your commander and decide what build you want to create and add cards that have synergy with it.

For formats like Pioneer and Legacy, you have to find a strategy that you like. Do you like big creatures > try a big boys deck that relies on fast mana to get out creatures and seal the game (Usually in red / green or mono green). Do you enjoy stopping others plans and to be in control of the game > Maybe try a control build  (Usually in white / blue or white / blue / black). If you want to @ me and get a more specific guide or want me to go in more depth, feel free to let me know and I’ll get back as soon as possible. Hope you have fun through your ups and downs and you find your “baby deck” (your deck that you love more than crack itself).

Deck Comments / Re: (Horobi, Death's Wail) Everything dies - Comments

The idea behind icy manipulator is when Horobi dies it's not useless (lots of the stuff I have is near useless without Horobi). You'll notice in my decklist I just make sure all their creatures die and stay dead, I just swing in every turn and 6 turns of commander beatdown wins the game, not only this but I have many more creatures that make this process a little easier. I'll be replacing Gilded Lotus for Thran Dynamo now as I hadn't really thought of it till now, thanks!! These suggestions do help this deck improve!!
