Isochron Scepter is a great example of why Panoptic Mirror should be unbanned, actually! It's just significantly better for combo wins, while not being as fun for jank because you can't put Army of the Damned or Eternal Dominion on it (I don't think that last one works but you get the point). Painter's Servant got unbanned, and yet only 52% of the 0.11% of decks on EDHREC that run painter's servant run Grindstone (and that's a colorless combo thats 5 mana cheaper and can go in literally any deck). There is no excuse for Panoptic Mirror. It's not even competitively viable, like the Grindstone combo arguably is.

Edit: 4 mana cheaper, not 5. Still.

Unban Panoptic Mirror, probably. A ten mana counterable 2-card combo win that gives your opponents an entire turn cycle to kill your artifact might have been too strong 19 years ago, but nowadays?

The only argument I have heard for keeping Panoptic Mirror banned that is even halfway reasonable is that new players might add it to their deck without very much thought and have it be too powerful, but who's picking up packs of Darksteel (2004) at their LGS to find a cool rare to slot into their EDH deck in the year of our lord 2024?

I love this jank! Going to be switching some of the eldrazi out for an alternate Resurrection plan when I build this, as well as switching out some of the lands.

It's got 23 lands, and even that is too much, in my opinion. There are H.O.G voltron decks that play 16-18 lands, and are surprisingly effective. You'll still lose playing this, though.
