Hello,

As you have seen the deck contains Tortured Existence, Gates, Spirits and some other stuff.

In “some other stuff” you can see Dihada's Ploy, that will help you to move cards from the deck-pile to the graveyard through your hand. So, you will control your grave, rather then you don’t control your dredge in classic TortEx or new Abzan TortEx.
Shipwreck Sifters also helps you to move cards into the grave through you hand.

Dihada's Ploy and Breathless Knight, as such as some kind of removals, helps you to be alive for a while - till you set up the other board.
Breathless Knight is a 2/2 creature with flying so the opponents faeries and birds in early game don’t attack you; is a 2/2 creature with lifelink so you have xtra lifetotal against some aggro (Kuldotha); is also multicoloured spell that triggers your eidolons.

All of yours toolbox cards have cmc=3, so they will be transmuted with Perplex (multicoloured spell) and
Drift of Phantasms (hello, spirit). As you, certainly, remember transmute force you discard the card - this helps your Shipwreck Sifters grow up.
