The locus god is going to be insane for commander. It could also be an alternate win condition for blue red control standard. With Pull from Tomorrow it can create 8 1/1 flying haste creatures and it is hard to kill.

I think that it is a jace because he is likely to be involved in a story with Vraska since they have some history. It seems like he is doing his best Shu Yun impression in the picture.

While I do think this leak is very unfortunate, it also does provide a little hype now. I'm excited for the set, but spoiler season will be miserable. Standard was starting to look up a little bit, so this really does seem bad for the format. The only positive that I see for standard is that if there is and infinite combo in Ixalan, people will find it.

Somebody at wizards of the coast has leaked a low resolution image of the Ixalan foil sheet . https://i.redd.it/pursgvgbnx3z.jpg  Almost all of the sets rares and mythics have been leaked, revealing that there are many legendary creatures and planswalkers (including another jace  ). People have been figuring out what the cards are. http://mythicspoiler.com/ixa/  This is one of the worst leaks in magic history. What do you guys think?

A theory about Conquest of Power is that someone will try to sink the main city. It could be some outside group, like the Spanish did to the Aztecs (possibly related to Nicol Bolas's plans). It could also be the underwater creatures, (like the naga and merfolk on the packaging) and if the city ends up sinking, it could be like Atlantis.

Wizards leaked some packaging designs on a set called Atlazan (link to images: https://www.mtggoldfish.com/articles/atlazan-an-atlantean-plane) There are many theories out there about it being like the mythical city of Atlantis. My personal opinion is that it will be based on the Aztecs since at the top of the packs, the design looks like the Aztec calendar. In addition, the Aztec were originally thought to be from a part of Mexico called Aztlan before they were driven into a lake where they built a floating city. This is all just speculation, and I want to hear some other opinions.

A cool addition would be Shared Fate, though you would have to add Exotic Orchard to the manabase. You would literally be playing with your opponents deck.

Temporal Mastery is just so fun to play. While it doesn't always work out perfectly, with some scry cards like Serum Visions, it is nearly a modern legal Time Walk.

I also love Karn Liberated, probably because he is the best card I have, or because he is just so good. The turn you play him he can easily be at 10 loyalty, and he can RESTART THE GAME.

My favorite 3 cards combo has to be Palladium Myr, and 2 Myr Galvanizer 's. Infinite mana, in colorless is useful almost anywhere.

Agreed, I have played a few drafts, and I'm kind of a newbie so I got super confused when some random guy handed me a pack with a foil Island in front.

People shuffling the packs is quite rude. Someone told me it was to hide what card you took, but we all know you took the rare, so you don't need to shuffle. Seriously, when do you keep track of the cards your opponents drafted. Someone shuffled their hand for like 1 minute straight after every Thoughtseize and Duress I cast, I wrote down the cards dude, I don't care where they are in your hand.

Skthiryx would deal poison/-1-1 damage because the text in infect states, "Whenever this creature deals damage," not combat damage. Poison counters could be taken advantage of. Tainted strike could give any dragon infect with Dragon Tempest's trigger on the stack.
