I didnt know yidris was cedh. Is it the hypergenisis version that's cedh?

I've never heard of Hypergenesis Yidris... so I guess the answer is no. Yidris is a storm deck. Because all your spells cascade, everything you cast is a two-for-one spell.

I can see it going in Yidris, because it's more ramp that the deck can use immediately. I'm not so sure how it will work in other decks.

I don't think the problem is the Tom Cruise picture. You're making an irrelevant post in a thread that was made to discuss people's decks. This is something that would instead go in the Off-Topic forums. It's usually fine if you occasionally post something off-topic (I do it too). If you have any more questions about stuff, send me a private message.

Now to get back on-topic, I think I've finally figured out what a pet deck is. It is the deck that you decided is your favorite deck, no matter how irrational that decision is. I can't really decide what mine is. As I said before, I like all of them. Decks I don't like get taken apart. I guess right now my favorite would be Vaevictis Asmadi, the Dire, because it was a very hard build, and I'm constantly having to make small adjustments to get everything to work.

Go, Google, I choose you!

Google used translate:

the deck is a sliver, but there is no sliver in the deck just the commander, what is the grace?
to be sliver without slivers

Wow... that actually turned out pretty good for once.

I think you're missing the point Khalitas18. The point of this deck isn't to play slivers, it is to play cascade. You could do the same deck with Maelstrom Wanderer, but that means cutting out white and black.

They definitely could have come up with a more unique name. We already had Captain Sisay.

The new Urza seems kinda badass.. paradox engine + 5 artifacts in total = infinite mana and you're able to play your whole library. GG

So it doesn't quite work that way. There is always the chance that you will flip into a land, which aren't cast (and no Paradox Engine trigger).

What Urza is good for, is an infinite mana sink, and he can disable his own stax effects. Winter Orb, Trinisphere, Static Orb, Storage Matrix; these are all stax effects that you can disable for your turn. Plus, all of your artifacts can be used for mana, which is insane. That annoying-ass Trinisphere is also an untapped blue source.

I'm working on a powerful build for him right now.

The only one I've ever used is Aven Mindcensor, and I cast it in response to someone searching. No one ever searches with Stranglehold or Aven Mindcensor out, because what's the point?

I haven't updated the lists yet, but they are going on this one. There have been a lot of good cards in the past two sets, so I'm going to do a massive update all at once.

I haven't quite planned it all out, but it's going to be either humans or wizards, so that way I can use Jodah, Archmage Eternal to the max.

Looks like they're doing an enemy-colored Horizon Canopy cycle.

Is a pet deck just your favorite deck?

Deck Reviews / Re: Keranos God of Giant Burn Spells
« on: May 21, 2019, 12:36:13 pm »
Actually this does change things. Of the four different suggestions I made, a burn deck was not one of them. The burn deck archetype works well in formats where you have 1 opponent with 20 life. In commander, you have 3 opponents with 40 life, which is more damage than what you're practically able to deal. Even the burn spells that you are using cost way too much mana to be practical.

So I would suggest something else. The combo and mass-everything destruction archetypes would be the easiest to build.

I'm not quite sure what a pet deck is. I enjoy playing all of my decks.

So first off, the mana base will need cleaning up. It's pretty routine stuff that I'm sure someone else will take care of. I want to help you with your game-plan; How you win, and the steps you take to get there.

So first off, I can see that you have the Ral, Storm Conduit combo. You use a copy spell (like Twincast) to copy another copy spell (like Reiterate) and then make an infinite copy loop which deals infinite damage with Ral. The issue is that this combo is really hard to set up. You need Ral on the battlefield, an instant/sorcery to copy, and then 2 copy spells. The odds of just getting 2 copy spells is really low (bottom line of this graph).

The deck also has a lot of counterspells, burn spells, damage doubling effects, and you're also not sure which commander you want.

So first, let's decide on which path you want to take this deck.

Spellslinger
Recommended Commander: Niv-Mizzet, Parun
This is where you cast lots of instants and sorceries to do... something. If you're able to generate enough card draw, and cast a bunch of spells in one turn, you can win with a card like Thousand-Year Storm, Aetherflux Reservoir, Mind's Desire, or Grapeshot (harder). Even if you only have Niv-Mizzet Parun, or Ral, Storm Conduit, the incremental value might be enough.

Counterspell control
Recommended Commander: Baral, Chief of Compliance
So the first downside to this deck is that you would have to drop red all together. The second downside is that people tend to not like massive amounts of counterspells. But if you like counterspells, and lots of them, this is the deck for you. Use low-cost counterspells to counter your opponents' most dangerous plays. Win conditions can include cards like Talrand, Sky Summoner, Stormtide Leviathan, or a complicated loop using Blue Sun's Zenith and Isochron Scepter (I'll explain more if you choose this deck).

Combo
Recommended Commander: Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind
This one revolves around using cards that interact with your commander to win. Some examples are using Mind Over Matter (expensive card) or Isochron Scepter imprinted with Dramatic Reversal with Niv-Mizzet to draw your whole deck and win with Laboratory Maniac, or recur your entire library with Elixir of Immortality to deal infinite damage.

Mass-everything destruction
Recommended Commander: Keranos, God of Storms
I left this one for last because it is the most evil out of all of them. You use cards like Jokulhaups, Decree of Annihilation, and Ruination to destroy almost all permanents, except for Keranos, planeswalkers, and enchantments. If you build the deck right, you'll be in a much better position than your opponents after the mass destruction.
