Deckstats Feedback / Re: CardMarket Price sorting

There seems to be a problem with our Cardmarket prices at the moment, sorry about that! I'm looking into it now.

Update: This should be fixed now!

Deckstats Feedback / Re: The Ring // The Ring Tempts You Token

You should be able to add this card from the card database by setting it to show "All cards" (rather than Normal cards or Tokens) and turning off all other filters. Alternatively, you can also put the full name (The Ring // The Ring Tempts You) into the Card name search field in your Tokens section and press enter. It won't autocomplete but once you write the full name it should find it.

Hope this works! If not, please let me know.

Deckstats Feedback / Re: Hard to search for Orc cards.....

Have you tried putting "orc" in quotation marks? That should stop it from looking for partial matches.

Hi,

Lifecrafter's Bestiary in the WPN 2023 Version is missing in the database.
Is the version listed here not correct? https://deckstats.net/cards/Wizards%20Play%20Network%202023/

Thank you for the details! The reason these prices were missing is that they are categorised slightly differently on Cardmarket (where they are all in the "FNM Promos" category) and Deckstats (where they are split up by year).

I have just added some extra code to handle the FNM promos at least, so those prices should now be available.

Sets like PAL99 are unfortunately a bit more complicated since there doesn't seem to be an obvious way to map them to the Cardmarket category (where they just seem to be called V.1, V.2, ...). You can always fix the price using manual overrides though: https://deckstats.net/forum/index.php?language=english-utf8&topic=54267.msg158175#msg158175

These three issues should all be fixed now:

Cabal Coffers appears as "Minas Morgul" (LotR version of that card) in the deck builder, even if I specify the set for that card. It is still Cabal Coffers in the exported decklist though.

Hi,

It seems that the Cardmarket price doesn't appear on any card for the new
Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-Earth expansion
Hi,

the latest addition to "The List" seems to be missing.

Hello!

I don't know if it was reported already (didn't find any answer about it).
Some of the card images are not showing.
Seems like it couldnt be found elsewhere.

best wishes.

psyarius
Can you please provide some examples?

In the Collection and the estimated prices in Details the prices for cards from special editions like:

[PAL99] Forest #!Foil
[PAL99] Swamp #!Foil
[FNM#11] Llanowar Elves #!Foil
[F03] Priest of Titania #!Foil

are way off. It seems to be the prices from the "regular" versions.
Which price source (shop) are you looking at?

Sorry to hear that! Was the whole topic deleted or only your post? If it was the whole topic then this was most likely a decision by the author. Everyone has the power to delete their own topics, so I suspect that they just felt that they didn't need to keep it around once their question was answered. I appreciate that this can be frustrating if you put a lot of work into your reply but it is luckily very rare.

I did notice that on the Sets page, when toggling between game types it will change the card count but the collection percentage appears to still be using combined count of digital-unique and paper cards as the denominator. The tooltip reflects that as well.
The collection percentage is always calculated based on the game type set for that collection. If you set the collection to be paper/arena only, the percentages should be correct.

I appreciate this can be a bit confusing though! We will have a think if we can improve this.

Over the last few years, more and more differences between digital and paper versions of MTG have emerged. While there were always cards that were only available in paper form, there are now also cards and entire sets that are only available in Arena. This could sometimes lead to confusion, as our card database contained a mix of cards across all these different forms.

To help you keep track of which cards are playable where, we are now introducing the concept of game types. Each card can be associated with one or several types of game - paper, Arena or MTGO. You can pick your preferred game type in your settings. Cards in the deckbuilder and our set lists will now automatically be filtered to your preferred game type (but you can always override this).

You can also specify a game type for your collections in the collection properties. This is important when we calculate the percentage that you own of each set, as we will now only consider cards of the same game type. Previously, it may have been impossible to reach 100% completion for some sets, for example when your collection was all paper but the set also contained unique arena cards. The set list will also adapt to the game type of the collection that you have selected.

And if you want things to stay the way they were until now, you can just leave your settings and collection properties at the default value ("any").

I hope that this will prove useful to many of you! As usual, please let me know here or via Twitter or Discord if you have any thoughts about this or notice any problems.
