Not worried about a slow mana base here, but indeed it is. I might cut the cycling lands down eventually when better options are printed, but for now they are the easiest way to keep the cycling count high.

I don't flicker mathas, I flicker the ETB creatures to kill opponents creatures with the bounty on them.

I don't play tutors by choice, I only consider them here because of how integral the astral enchantments are to the strategy; I find tutors make playing a deck cumbersome, just doing the same thing over and over.

I cut conjurer's closet because its pretty bad. Super slow, eats up a turn to cast, and already has a massive target on its head. It can be powerful, but when I'm not abusing it with extra turns and stuff it just isn't as good as the one-shot instants.

I considered charmbreaker, but what I'm really waiting for is a creature like Anarchist that gets back instants. I know blue normally gets that these days, but red has a chance. I really want the instants, and memoir gets two of them, even if it is random.

I used to have worldgorger combo in here, as an "I win" button, but took it out not too long ago because of how bad the dragon is on its own, sometimes being a dead draw. I may add it back eventually, but for now its out. Sun titan used to be here, too, and might get back in; he is pretty good with cycling lands, but I wanted to test other stuff before throwing him back in.

Yeah, a lot of the stuff here is kinda chaff. All the wedges need a little more support, and the m20 cycle was a huge addition, opening up strategies to slightly different color pairings.
