Everbody made the Top 8, we were also only 8 participants.
I managed to win every game and this tournament with a BG Delirium Rock deck (https://deckstats.net/decks/31336/564847-gb-delirium-kaladesh-/en).

Congratz Feric! Winning is by no means a small feat. Your delirium deck seems solid. I like that your creatures are all randomised it makes using Lost Legacy or Pick the Brain tricky for a player since you aren't really relying on a win condition, despite having Liliana and Emrakul.

You can hit delirium pretty quickly, you have 7 types, so that's great.

This is my version, more control https://deckstats.net/decks/51869/546134-delirious-paranoia-g-b-/en

Thank you ! I like to have different kind of threats, and Traverse makes it easy to find to adequate answer to any situation or killer.
At first, I tried a similar version with 3 Smuggler's Copter in the deck, but it didn't fit with this midrange deck at all, and I gradually removed them all. Still I kept Catacomb Sifter and Gnarlwood Dryad, that were excellent to pilot Copters. But they had other functions I wanted to keep : Dryad was a very good answer to metalwork colossus decks and can quickly press Control or Combo decks when you can hit delirium soon enough. Sifter gave scry that were really helpful and the scion is a plus to cast big creatures earlier.
In the current format, Filigree Familiar should be replaced with Pilgrim's Eye to hit the land and act as a blocker against flyers, but I love this cute fox so much. :)

I'm happy to see your Control version of delirium since it take courage to make one, now that Languish is gone. It looks like you had hard time against aggro deck. I think your deck is very well suited against Control and Combo with all the hand disruption spells but there's a lack of board control in your list.

Round 1 : Won 2-0 against R/W Vehicles. Excellent match-up here. No difficulties

Round 2 : Won 1-0 against 5c Panharmonicon that abused Gearhulks. Very tough game with a lot of reversals ! Gnarlwood Dryads helped me resist until I found Emrakul. Controlling my opponent's turn, I played his Noxious Gearhulk to wipe his board. But there was a second one in hand, that was waiting to kill Emrakul. My opponent had a 51 life total at this time. And I got liliana in hand to immediatly get Emrakul back. The second Emrakul cast was devastating : with 3 panharmonicon in the battlefield, I made my opponent play 3 Prophetic Prism that drew 12 cards. At the end of his turn, I discarded all his threats and left his hand full with 6 or 7 insignificant lands ! Emrakul and a growing board on my side were finally enough to secure the win. (opponent finished 3rd place)

Round 3 : Won 2-0 against Sultai Emerge (Elder-Deep, Mindbender, Boar). First game won thanks to Liliana's Ultimate. For game 2, I put a lot of hand disruption like Transgress the Mind but I didn't hit them early. I was very close to lose with only a Traverse in hand without delirium. Still, I managed to enable delirium and fetch a Noxious Gearhulk, to kill Elder-Deep, stabilize the board and regain life. After that, I had lucky draws with Kalitas and Ish-Kanah, while my opponent mostly drew lands... Lucky recovery to seal the first place. (opponent finshed 2nd)

Good point here !
At first, I elimniated Lost Legacy because of the huge draw it can give to the opponent. But it still work very well against Emrakul decks.
The match up of Delirium vs Turbo Emrakul is quite low by the way.

I will definitely add some in the sideboard.

(the fact that you can play Lost Legacy on yourself is also interesting)

I played a Delirium Control, and in my experience, Languish did well. I assume this was because of the presence of so many Bant Company decks.
1 Den Protector was often played. Usually you got a full graveyard and you could get a removal spell back or anything else without breaking your own delirium.
Both of them were good for a control oriented deck.
The reason I liked Hangarback was because it could enable half delirium directly by playing it for zero. If not necessary, it was still a decent card.

Deck Reviews / GB Delirium {decks/thoughts} after Standard Rotation ?
« on: September 10, 2016, 05:22:18 pm »
Hi girls and guys,

I was wondering how Delirium decks will look like after the rotation.
This archetype doesn't lose a lots of cards due the rotation. The main ones are Languish, Den Protector and Nissa, Vaswood Seer.

With Languish rotating out, I don't think the control version can be solid anymore.
We know that GB delirium isn't the best way to get the fastest Emrakul.
And I don't think Aggro delirium can be competitive enough with the loss of Hangarback Walker. I belive there will be far better archetypes for aggro decks.

Anyway, GB delirium got a tons of great cards and you can still adapt your game play in these 3 directions (Aggro, Control, Emrakul) depending on which deck you're facing.
Then I tried to make an update of GB delirium deck on this purpose:

http://deckstats.net/decks/31336/564847-gb-delirium-post-rotation-

(see the deck description for the cards motivation)
I would really appreciate to have some feedback on this deck or thoughts on delirium after rotation. ;)
Thanks !

Eric

And I'm not a pro of Fevered Visions decks but if you to play it, you might want to play more cards like unsubstantiate.

I would play 4 Curious Homunculus and remove the Elusive Spellfist. Having a 3/4 prowess will be better than spellfist both on attacking and blocking purpose. Thougness of Voracious Reader can be improved by prowess.
Plus, you're already running 4 Slip through space.

Sure Galvanic Bombardment is a good card, but not better than Incendiary Flow of Fiery Temper. Those latter can target players and Planeswalker as well !
I would remove them to put 1 more instance of Incendiary Flow and Fiery Temper. With maybe one more Bedlam Reveler to trigger the madness (+Geier Reach Sanitarium that can filter lands in the late game ?)
If you still want to have something like two creature burns for one mana, fiery impulse will be better than galvanic bombardment.

Add Weaver of Lightning, either in main deck, or sideboard. Great card again Bant Spirit.

Liliana is great to take advantage of Prized Amalgam. Other stuff to get creatures back to battlefield are more Risen Executioner, or Ever After.

I would play Vessel of Volatility to be able to have a turn 3 Goggles..
Without the sideboard, the mana curve seems quite high too.

Not most of them, just Necropolis Fiend, Tasigur, Crux of Fate and the fetch lands (+ dismal backwater) for the main deck.
Change can be made quite easily. None of these spot are crucial for the deck.
You can replace the lands by the dual land from SOI or by Evolving Wild / Warped Landscape.
And here are some rough ideas for the rest:

Jace, Unraveler of Secrets (2 or 3)
Kalitas
(Forgotten Creation)
etc...

Please, at least have the decency to mention that this is my deck... if you just basically copy it.

Many cards that I like in this deck. But some are not working great together..

If you want to take advantage of Mana Vortex and Outpost Siege, I think you should have a lower mana curve.
Again, if using mana vortex and fetch lands, good luck to cast Embermaw hellion.

I believe you can make two very different deck here. And keep in mind that Twin Bolt and Rolling Thunder are quite great with Embermaw Hellion. ;)
