Commander Deck Reviews / AlphabEDH - All cards same letter
« on: January 10, 2022, 06:51:57 am »
I put together a deck for each highest ranked EDH legend for each letter in the alphabet, with each card in the deck besides basics starting with the same letter.

The decks are surprisingly diverse and I learned about a lot of cards I hadn't seen before.
I still need to have an EDH game between all 26 decks at once to determine the best letter in Magic, but I will update.
Yes I know how fundamentally stupid this is.

This is a running project where I make decks from each set in Magic's history. Every card in the deck was printed in the Prophecy block, which is why the deck is neither high-powered nor using the most popular cards.
So yeah, I know it's bad. But I'm trying to make one deck every day to learn about Magic, so not every day is going to be great.

Mono-Blue Cycling

Cheap cycling deck, half creatures, half instants. Sideboard has Cartouche & Trial set in case pumping large bodies farther into the game is a little too hard, or you need more draw. Having more Kefnets can help if win cons are too hard.

Red-Blue Control Prowess

From what I own, I think this is pretty good. Lots of low cost control and card draw means prowess creatures get buffed pretty much every turn. Docent of Perfection, Bedlam Reveler, Niblis of Frost, and Rise from the Tides can win the game if played at the right moment.

Deck Reviews / [Standard] Landfall Green- Battle for Zendikar

Landfall Green

Fully Green deck, all Battle for Zendikar, mid-range mana costs but very strong with a little luck and a mulligan.
Side-board can get a little pricey, but worth it for different options and strength.
