You need life from the loam. Also, maybe check out ayula's influence. I posted a seismic deck yesterday (that I'm not super satisfied with yet, but its a start); it has some pricey lands and things, but avoiding those will still get you pretty far towards a fun deck, just not without loam if you want to play seismic.

They wouldn't hurt, but the deck wasn't really meant to come out of the gate. My playgroup got tired of legacy so we're all building non-combo big-creature decks for the nostalgia of it.

The idea isn't to double it using the traditional mechanism; it is to treat it like an immortal 3/3. Any time it does, I get 2 back.

Imagine:
I play Chronozoa.
I block a 5/5 and get 2.
I cast wrath, killing your 5/5 and getting 4 chronozoas.

No, it didn't even occur to me! I think I imagine vanishing as too similar to Fading to be useful for this, but the difference is key here.

If the deck splashes blue, Chronozoa is an auto-include. Outside of that, the design of the deck is to sac Chasm by not paying 0, wrath the board, get all of its creatures back, and start swinging, so most other creatures aren't an auto-include. Still, calci/blasto-derm looks good, among others.

Hmm... It might be worth the splash just to add chronozoa, and if I'm doing that, no reason not to add Glen Elandra Archmage :)

Yes. It is a casual deck so there is no point in having a side-board as each deck only gets played one time. My playgroup uses a lot of enchantments and artifacts, so he's useful in my meta.

To improve the deck, put him and the persist creature that destroys enchantments in the sideboard, add murderous redcaps, and change the mana base to include red or black.

Sure.

March of the machines is the win con, not a mid-range spell, so you wouldn't cast it until you had the board position you want, which would ideally be mycosynth and darksteel in play.

The artifact lands just help you get there, giving you welder targets so you can discard the artifacts off compulsion.

Alternatively, if you happen to draw the academy ruins, you can use an artifact land, welder, and tutor up the mindslaver for a slaver lock at 6 mana per turn instead of 12.

Technically, up to 49 turns of stall. And it isn't a final draft, I'm still tinkering with it- if you look now it actually does have tutors, and I'm thinking about dropping something else to put in weathered wayfarers.

1 of each, yes. Its a casual deck; I never intended it to be competitive, just fun.

Mindslaver + Academy Ruins for taking over the opponent's turn, then letting their creatures die to the Magus, then geist in the face. This combo is drawn in time to be used for a win con in 299/300 games.
