I'm looking at making a Mentor deck too, but without risk factor and adding deafening clarion. If you're able to boost creatures past the 3/3 mark (which shouldn't be too hard), it'd really add to the deck. Risk Factor only seems good when you're ahead.

Great job for your first deck! Rule of thumb for Commander: if you wouldn't want to windmill slam a card in this deck (minus basic lands), then you should probably take it out. Commander, to me, is a more social game where you will be taking plenty of turns and slinging huge spells. But I'm a bit more casual, not sure if you want to take this to events.

The Pre-Con Edgar deck is really good as-is. Only ended up taking 6 cards out. Might want to build off that.

Unfortunately, it's still considered to be in it's "color identity", even if there is an option. It's why if a card like Samut, Voice of Dissent was your commander, you could play green, red and white cards.
