Here's my list for comparison. I play in a slow meta without inifnite combos. https://deckstats.net/decks/81596/1176954-tasigur-control

You run a larger amount of draw spells/cantrips than I do. What has been your experience with that? Are they lowering the efficiency of your Tasigur activations?

I haven't tried Shizo yet. I thought it could be a good way of pushing Tasigur damage but I can see it not living up to my expectations. I have the cycle lands in there (tranquil ticket, lonely Sandbar, barren moor). I should probably move then to the draw section.

Building a Tasigur control list for a meta in between casual and competitive.

If you view the deck on deckstats, you can see comments on most cards.

Philosophy:

I had the following assumptions when building the deck.

Instant-speed is king
Tasigur is a mana sink. I can afford to hold up any amount of mana in multiples of 4.

Graveyard must be value
Tasigur gives back the worst card in my graveyard. Therefore, I must be selective with cards in my graveyard and must regulate the value through exiling. I can also not indiscriminately dump cards. This also means that other forms of recursion are important to the deck.

Utility lands are synergistic
Tasigur cannot bring back lands. Therefore, utility lands have a natural synergy. Instead of ramping with Rampant Growth. I can use Myriad Landscape. It pays the delve cost for Tasigur and keeps my graveyard full of value cards for Tasigur activations. Utility lands also help draw (Cephalid Coliseum), remove creatures (Cabal Pit), empty graveyard (Bojuka Bog], etc.

Draw spells must beat Tasigur
Any draw spell that I play must be significantly better than Tasigur (4 mana for +1 card). Better card selection or higher volume of card advantage.

Few words on the packages

Control packageI tried build a resilient control package that's relevant at most stages of the game (wouldn't mind getting back to Tasigur), varied and high on creature removal since my meta is slower

Lands I tried to keep the land base budget while allowing 3 colors, utility lands and fetches to be recurred/delved away.

Win conditionI would like to make it tighter, while still not having to rely in combo. I like winning through attrition so I didn't include any combo pieces outside of what I would normally run. Seasons Past combo can act as a quick finisher but I wouldn't tutor out the pieces. I like the idea of Eldritch Evolution Tasigur into a value creatures like Tidespout Tyrant or Avenger of Zendikar but I'm not sure if it's too "cute" without the Razaketh combo. Commander damage is also relevant with Shizo, Death's Storehouse and a sword.

Deck: Tasigur Control

Do you guys see any inefficiency for the budget? Anything I'm missing here?

Thanks!
