I particularly like the look of attrition and grave pact from your suggestions, I may look at building a modern version of this concept at some point just for the fun of it to include them.

Hahaha I didn't actually downvote you funnily enough, you had a good point; speed is one of the biggest issues with this concept so finding a good way to protect from early damage will be essential. Which is of course why its a work in progress, and any feedback is welcome

Cheers for the feedback! Following your suggestion Loykuaza I've added Defiant Salvager to get that free sacrifice mechanic, which speeds things up quite nicely. Also added relentless dead in place of the sanitarium skeletons for cheaper sacrifice (pity about the $$ increase, but you cant have everything in life). Yahenni, Undying Partisan might be also good for that free sacrifice, though he'd only proc his +1/+1 when I kill something with bone splinters (or good old regular combat damage!). Still worth a look at though!
