Well of course that would be way better, but as it is supposed to be a deck fro the upcoming Standard (until autumn) I sadly can't put it into the deck - wish they reprinted Counterspell though :-D

Hey,

I would cut the Divert and Force Spike, because they are very situational. Also, you are a control deck so you don't need as many win conditios, so I'd cut the Serra Avenger and Blade Splicer. Instead of Force Spike, you could run Condescend 2 to 4 times. Also, as you want to lock your opponent with the Isochron Scepter, play a playset of it! I would also cut Silence and put in Wrath of God, Supreme Verdict or anything like that in the deck, because if the opponent already has creatures on the board, Silence effects aren't that great and you won't always have an Orim's Chant in your Scepter... Finally, if you want to run Mass Removal, you don't need Mother of Runes plus Sun Titan as much, maybe you could just put in Darksteel Citadel x4 and play 2 Thopter Spy Network? They are great, trust me ;-) And if you want a creature, you can also play Pearl Lake Ancient or AEtherling... Wait, I'll make a deck list! (......) Okay, so here is the link to my version of your deck: http://deckstats.net/decks/967/288570-bard-s-control-ft-kessig-wolf-

I hope I didn't change too much and wasted your deck ideas with it, as it is a very special deck you put together :-) I hope that I could help you and I think cutting down on cards overall is right anyways as your draws are a bit random otherwise... Good luck with your deck,

KWR

Hi HMC,

looks fine, especially trying Mizzium Mortars sounds cool! I would have thought though that you would either play more Combust out of the SB then or play Roast mainboard because of Tasigur, the Golden Fang, Gurmag Angler and Siege Rhino, as you may not be able to counter all of them. What is the purpose of the single Elixir of Immortality? Against Burn and/or to reuse some cards?

Best Regards,
KWR

@owl224: Not to Teysa, that's right, but there are plenty more sac' outlets - pretty nice idea, actually :-)

Hi, your idea is awesome, so I tried to build a deck basing on it of my own! If you want to see it, here is the link -> http://deckstats.net/decks/967/175858-azorius-combo-deck-credit-to-z?saved=1&lng=de

Oops, Ponify! I meant Pongify, although Ponify would be an awesome card idea too :-D

Very nice idea, those "Hunted…." guys are really awesome, yet most people don't even consider playing them! Really nice :-) You could also put Ponify and/or Rapid Hybridization in your SB (as soon as you build one ^^).

Okay…. So, how many would you play and which cards would you throw out?

Pretty good conclusion :-D The problem you are facing now is that Cascade Bluffs and Steam Vents don't go well together with Thoughtseize and Master of Cruelties... Also, so-called Manlands provide a more stable pressure :-)

Wow, that is a nice deck! I like especially the (lack of) interaction between Zurgo and the Obliterate- or Wrath-effects, it's really hard to come up against those plays (as long as your opponent isn't playing blue and/or white...)!!

What about Ajani's Pridemate - and you could also consider adding Aqueous Form to make the Pridemate or even Daxos unblockable... What do you think about that? Maybe you want to throw out or at least cut the Sage of Hours-Sunbond-Combo, because most of the time you won't get to draw those cards in the right spots or your opponent will just kill the Sage, because he will suspect it may be necessary... Also, what's the reason for playing Triton Tactics, do you think of it as protection against burn spells? In general, I really like the idea behind your deck and I'm trying to work out a good list of my own, but I think your deck just needs a little bit of "tuning" before it's really playable. Greetings, KWR

I guess though if there were less Walkers and more Ramp and Removal, it would be a nice, but hopelessly overpriced casual kind of a deck, huh? I mean, these Walkers aren't fast enough to be Spartans, know what I#m saying? :-D
